Rowand’s Tonic Mixture, or
Vegetable Febrifuge,
A specific and lasting cure for Fever nnd Ague.
FTIHIS worthy remedy earnestly repels the slur
1. ofbcingaqunck medicine, it having been
the result of many years study, experience and
labor, ill file inodical practice and observation of
Fever and Ariio. It is composed of such medi
cinal principle* as were considered most fit to re
store the harmony ofnetion between the stomach,
liver, and the other important functions of the
system, the loss of which harmony is evidently the
immediate cause of the dispose. It spncdily prn-
mutes n regular nnd healthy nppetito which is
generally entirely destroyed or rendered veiy
precarious; by which effect, vigor and strength is
soon afforded to the whole system. It must be
upparent to nil, that a medicine possessing these
peculiar virtues, is useful in n great variety of
complaints. By renewing the healthy action of
the digestive organs, it lias proved itself of re
markable benefit indyspepsin, depraved appetite,
heart-burn, water brash, flatulency, jaundice,
night sweats, dysentery, bowel complaints, and
all other affec'ions of similar origin, but it is in
the treatment of Fevers, and especially in Fever
nnd Aguo, or Remittent Fever, that Us powers
have been principally tested, and with those who
have seen its usefulness, it is pronounced sover
eign to all remedies heretofore discovered fo
those disenses. It has also been used as n pre
ventlve, by ninny who were subject to n periodi-
cal recurrence of tho chills und fever, / and it has
always warded off tba apprehended attack. It
was deemed not improper to accompany the
vegetable te'britoge with a few of tho ninny une
quivocal certificates politely flirnished to tho pro-
motor,corroborative ofthe foregoing statements,
■'or further accounts of its groat iiseftilness, see
pamphlets accompanying each bottle.

Dr. Jcbb’s Rheumatic Liniment.
T HIS, highly approved und long celebrated
application for Rheumatic Di»nrdt>rs.i*care-
fully prepared according to the original recipe nl
Sir Richard Jebb, Baronet, Physician to her late
Majesty nnd Royal Family. It is doubtless true,
tliattho excruciating pain, tho decrepitude, do-
formity and premuture old age, which are the
nsunl attendant* and consequences of this dread
ed disorder, are suffered by many porsons from
litter despair of a cure, or frequent disappoint
ment in the efficacy of thu numerous pretended
antidotes used to effect this purpose. But those
who have made trial of Dr. Jebb’s Rheumatic
Liniment, even in obstinate cases nr long stand
ing, and uf the most severe character, havo re
ceived cssentiul relief, and many have been cur
ed in a few days, some in twenty-four hours, os
a number of persons in Boston and vicinity, who
were formerly afflicted with tho Rheumatism,
have very fully nnd satisfactorily testified. Cer
tificates tiro in the posi-easiou of the Proprietor,
which prove the most thorough and surprising
cures by means of this most powerful Liuiment,
in cases where other approved applications had
totally failed. The Liniment is also used with
signal success, and may be confidently recom<
mended for chilblains, bruises, sprains, numb
ness, stiffness of file joints, Ac. Price, 50 cents
