Rownnd’s Tonic HIixtnrc f or
Vegetable Febrifuge,
A specific and lasting cure for Fever and Ague.
T HIS worthy remedy earnestly repels the slur
of being a qiinck medicine, it having been
the result of many years study, experience and
labor, in the medical practice and observation of
Fever and Ague. It is composed of such medi
cinal principles as were considered most fit to re
store the harmony ofaction between the stomach,
liver, and the other important functions of the
system, the loss of which harmony is evidently the
immediate cause ofthe disease. It speedily]—
motes a regular nnd healthy appetite whic
generally entirely destroyed or rendered \
precarious; by which effect, vigor nnd strengl
soon afforded to the whole system. It must be
appnrentto ull. that a medicine possessing these
peculiar virtues, is useful in a great variety of
complaint*. By renewing tho healthy action of
the digestive organs, it has proved itself of re-
markouln benefit in dyspepsia, depraved appetite,
heart-burn, water brash, flatulency, jnnndice,
night sweats, dysentery, bowel complaints, and
all offier affections of simitar origin, but it is in
the treatment of Fevers, nnd especially in Fever
and Ague, or Remittent Fever, that its powprs
hare been Jirinclnnfty tested, and witb those who
have seen its usefulness, it is pronounced sover
eign to all remedies heretofore discovered fo
those disease*. Il hns also been used as a ore
vetitive, by many who were subject to n periodi
cal recurrence of the chills und fever, nnd il ha*
alwny* warded off the apprehended attack. It
was deemed not improper to accompany tho
vegetable febrifuge with a few of tho mnny une
quivocal certificates politely furnished to tlio pro
prietor,corroborative ofthe foregoing statements.

through violent exercise, from whence arise per
