T HE Pinprielor’s opportunities for extensive
practical observation have enabled him judi
ciously to discriminate such varieties of vegeta
bles as ure really worthy of culture, from Uie infe
rior, or, as is not utifrcquent, worthless varieties
oftho same class, which have been perpetuated
through incxperence; therefore, in malting this
selection, lie has excluded many sorts usually
fonnd in tho Catalogues of those who are mere
renders not practical growers of seeds.—And he is
not sure tlmt the variety might not he still further
redueRii with advantage; at any rate this iiiftnpla
for any garden, however extensive, and fully
adapted to the nicest taste.
As to quality of Uie seeds, tho proprietor wished
it to tie remembered, that what is sold hy him is
of his own grouth, (with 'hut slight exception,)
therefore warranted with entire confidence, that they
will, upon trial, prove to ho far superior to moat
of foreign importation, nr such us ure casually
collected in tho United States.

F UR consumption, liver complaint, asthma,
loMofflesh, palpitation of the'heart, Ac.
Delays are always dangeroiiP—particularly so to
those who neglect their colds nnd coughs. At
first you complain of a cold, which is neglected;
• nflerwards a soreness is felt in the bronchia, witli
a hacking cough, and finally the disease settles
upon the lungs; then comes hectic fever, spitting
'or blood, pnin in the chest, hard coughs and sweats.
To obviate all these distressing symptoms, snare
•no time in uiing Dr. Taylor’s Bulsam of Liver
wort. For eight years this invaluable vegetable
Balsam has been used with unbounded Juccess.

IflofTatt’s Life Pills ami Plimnix
Bitters.
fllllESE medicines liaro long been known and
X appreciated for their extraordinary nnd im-
niedintejmwers.ofrostoring perfect Imullli to per
sons suffering under nearly every kind of disease
to which thelminnii frame is liable.
The proprietor rojoicp* in the opportunity af
forded by tho universal diffusion oftho daily press
for placing his VEGETABLE LIFE PILLS
within the Knowledge and ranch of every individ
ual in the community. Unlike tho host of per
nicious quackeries which boast of vcgctahln in
gredients, the Life Pills are purely nnd solely
vcgclahlo, and contain neither mercury, antimo
ny, arsonic, nor nny other mineral in any form
whatever. They are ontlrely composed of ex
tracts from rare nnd powerful plants, tho virtues
of which though long known to several Indian
tribes, and recently to sonio eminent phurmacen-
ticnl chemists are altogether unknown to the ig
norant pretenders to medical science, and were
never before administered in so, happily effica
cious n combination. ...
- THE HKENIX-mTTERS are so called, he-
cause they possess tho power ofrestoring the ex
piring embers ofhualth, to glowing vigor through
out the constitution, as the Phumix is said to he
restored to life from the ashes of its own dissolu
tion. The Phamix Bitters arn entirely vegetable,
composed of roots found only in certain parts of
tlm western country, which will iiifuliblv cure
FEVERS AND AGUES ofall kinds; will never
full to erndiento entirely ull the effects of mercury
infinitely sooner than tho most powerful prepar
ations ofSarsaparilla. and will immediately euro
the determination of BLOOD TO THE llEAD;
never fails in sickness incident to young females:
anil will he found a certain remedy in all cases oi
nervous debility and weakness of tha most im
paired constitutions.
As n remedy for Chronic nnd Inflammatory
Rheumatism, tho efficacy of the Phumix Bitters
will ha demonstrated bv tho tisa ofa single bottle.
The usual dose of these Bitters is half a wine
;lnss full, in water or wine, and this qunntity may
10 taken two or three times a day, ubouthnlfan
hour before meals, ora less quantity may l/e ta
ken at all times. To those whoaVe afflicted with
indigestion after meul*. thcso Bitters will prove
invuluable, as they very greatly increase the ac
tion ofthe principal viscera, help tlietn to perform
their functions, and enable tho stomach to dis
charge into tho bowels whatever is offensive.
Thus indigestion is easily ninl speedily removed,
appetite restored, and the mouths ofthe absorb
ing vessels being demised, nutrition is facilitated
and strength of body and energy of Inind are the
happy results.
For farther particulars of Moffett's Life Pills
and Phamix Bitters, apply at Motfatt’s office No.
510 Broadway, New York, where die Pillscan bo
obtained for 25 cents, GO cents und $1 per box;
and the Bitters for$l u $2 per bottle. Numer
ous certificates ofthe wonderful efficacy of both,
may be tliero inspected.

The Lucinn Cordial,
BEWARE OF FRAUD.
milF. unprecedented nnmilnrily of this hcnefl-
X cent and inestimable CORDIAL in lira U*
nited Suites, tins induced one or more unprinci
pled persons to manufacture tjiurious catchpenny
articles, under carious names, and purporting (0
produce the same effect; hut which, in reality, pro-
duco no other cited than that of swindling the
public; nnd to give n yet more plausible appear
ance of their cupidity, those persons affect that
flicir wretched nostrums have been in use in
England and'elsewhere for n number of years;
whereas, until tho illustrious Dr. Mngniit made
his wonderful discovery, no cure for barrenness
bad been ever thought of, or at least made pub
lic; and all those then in use for the restoration
ofthe decayed virile powers were found to be of
hut litflo avail. Thus, all nostrum# advertised
for barrenness or the cure of impotency, but Dr.
Mngnin's.nro mere catchpenny humbugs, which
would never have been tho uglit of but for the ap
pearance and grant celebrity of tho LUCINA
CORDIAL. As no counterfeit ofthe ifMne is
at present in circulation, it may in geiinnd be a
sufficient cantion for the purchaser to ask for the
Lucinn Cordial, but as further nssurancc.it would
bo ns well to note that its name, Lucinn Cordial,
nr Elixir of Love, is stamped in tho glass of each
bottle—tho combined arms of France and the U-
nited States are on the outward envelope—that
n Fleur dc Lis is printed on tho accompanying
directions, nnd beautifully embossed on flio snow
bills hanging in the sloresof those who have the
genuino article for sale.
The celebrity of the Lucinu Cordial being such
ns it is, it is scarcely necessary to add that it is the
only efficient remedy for Imrrenness, and the res
toration of decayed * irile powers ever known;
and that in the curn of Fluor Albus, Gleet, obstruc
ted, difficult or paitifid Menstruation, tho incon
tinence ofthe urine, or the involuntary discharge
thereof, its sitnerioriiy over every oilier medicine
is not ouly decided, hut unquestionahte. For

PETER’S PILLS.
W E would call attention to the advertisement
in our columns to-day of PETERS’ VEG
ETABLE PILLS. We understand hy the best
medical authority, that thero is no preparation of
the day which enjoys so enviable n reputation.
At tha South anu North, their success bus been
unbounded, and wherever introduced wo boliovo
they Imvo given the most perfect satisfaction.
Wo liavo this day had an interview with one of
our citizens, Henry K. Fox, who was recently
cured ofa most remarknblo nnd ohstinnto cuta
neous eruption, where the body was covered with
fulsomo ulcers, and even the tonsils of the throne
oaten away—and by using these Pills daily for six
weeks, was entirely restored to health.-—New
York Examiner.
PETERS’ VEGETABLE PILLS.
They do indeed restore the health of the body,
because theypurify nnd invigorate the blood, and
their good effects are not counterbalanced hy nny
inconvenience; being composed entirely of veg
etables, they do not expose those who uso them
to danger, and their effects are ns certain ns they
nra salutary; they tire daily and safely adminis
tered to infancy, youth, manhood and old age. and
to women in the most criticnlnuddelicate circum
stances, tlmv do not disturb or Bliock the animal
functions, Blit restores their order nnd re-estab
lishes fliuir health; and for nil the purposes which
a vegetable purgative, or certuin cleanser of the
whole system are required, they stuud without a
rival.
