ELLIS’ COMPOUND
Kroosotc Tooth Wash.
Hccommcndtd by the Faculty. _
miHS compound will ho found serviceable in
arresting and preventing decay in tenth;
keeping tho teeth and gums in a healthy and clean
condition; sweetening the brcntli; removing tar-
r. and relieving pain caused by carious teeth.
Few dikcoverie# in modern chemistry promise
more important results than that of Krcosote, hy
Dr. Reicnenbnch, nn eminent chemist of Blnns-
ko, in Monrovia. It is a highly rectified liquid
product, obtained from wood, and is analogous to
charcoal in it# antiseptic properties, hut far more
powerful ns a corrective and preventive of de
cay. Charcoal, notwithstanding its well known
cleansing properties, is objectionable ns a denti
frice, on account of it# insolubility, and the risk
of minute pnrticle# remaining between the teeth
-nd producing injury. Krcosote, on the contra-
,, cannot boliahle to this objection, and posses
ses, to a much greater extent, tho antiseptic and
purifying properties of the formpr. The trials
which havp been inode with it. in this country
and Europe hare proved it# efficacy.
It is strongly recommended hy tlm Faculty ns
the best preventive against curie# in teeth. * To
sweeten the breath, rendered offensive hy decay-
■ teeth, the use of tobacco, or other causes^ and
arrest decay itself, it stand# pre-eminent.
Ellis's compound Kreosotn Tooth Wash, com
bines the virtues of Kreosnte, of the strength
adapted for this purpose, with other substances
known to be highly advantageous in whitening
and preserving the teeth.
It i# confidently recommended to the pnblicas
valuable compound, which may be used daily
with great ndvantnge to the teeth and gums, at the
-.line time leaving an p.*jreesb!e sensation in the
mouth. There is no acid in this wash, nor any
ingredients entering into it# composition, but
■nch as are highly beneficial to Urn teeth.
It has been examined and used by several of
the first Physicintwof this city, who have no hesi
totion in recommending it a# an excellent wash
for the teeth and gumsj preventing the latter from
beenn ing spungy, and, by it# detergent and an-

They strengthen the stomach, procure pgood ap

These Bitiers nre superior to any thnt nro. or

pun|rcnlly aromatic, they nre particularly recom
mended to 8onforing persons im an antidote n-
gainst the Scurvy. Persons laboring under the

prove n wholesome, agreeable and invigorating

soon afforded to the whole system. It must be
