WARRANTED-Csor 1840.
T HE Proprietor’s opportunities for extensive
practical observation have enabled him judi
ciously to discriminate such varieties ofvegsta-
Mesas are really worthy of culture, from the tnfe*
rior, or, as is not uufreqiienl, worthless varieties
ofllte snme class, which have been perpetuated
through inexperence; therefore, in making this
selection, he has excluded many sorts usually
found in the Catalogues of those who are mere
renders not practical growers of seeds.—And ho is
not sure that the variety might not be still further
reduced with advantage; at any rale this {sample
for any garden, however exteusive, and fully
adapted to tho nicest taste.
As to quality ofthe seeds, the proprietor wishes
it to be remembered, that what is sold by him is
of his own growth, (with but slight exception,)
therefore warranted mth entire confidence, that they
will, upon trial, prove to be fur superior to most
of foreign importation, or such ns are casually
collected in the United States.

HE8E medicines have long been known and
appreciated for their extruutdinary and im*
incdintojmwer# ofrestoring perfect health to per-
sobs suffering under nearly every kind of disease
to Vvhich the human frame is liable.
Tho proprietor rejoices in Uie opportunity af
forded by the universal diffusion ofthe daily press
for placing hit VEGETABLE LIFE PILLS
within ihe Knowledge and ranch ofevery individ
ual in file community. Unlike the host of per
nicious quackeries which boast of vegetable in*
gradients, the Life Pills are purely nnd solely
vogetable, and contain Neither mercury, antimo
ny, arsenic, nor any other mineral in nny form
whatever. They ere entirely composed of ex
tracts from rare and powerflil plants, tho virtues
of which though long known to several Indian
trihea, and recently to some eminent pharmaceu
tical chemists are altogether unknown to the ig-
tiorant pretenders to medical science, nnd were
never before administered in so happily eftica-
cion* a combination.
, THE PHCENIX BITTERS nro so colled, he*
cause they fossesa the power ofrestoring the ex
piring embers of healtli, 10 glowing vigor through
out the constitution, as the Pha-nix is said to ho
restored to lifo from tho ashes of its own dissolu
tion. The Pliamix Bitters are entirely vegetable,
composed of roots found only in certain parts of
the western country, which will infaliblv cure
FEVERS AND AGUES ofull kinds; will never
fail to eradicate entirely all the effects of mercury
infinitely sooner than the most powerful prepar
ations ofSarsnparilln. and will immediately cure
the determination of BLOOD TO THE HEAD?
never fails in sickness incident to young females:
and will he found 0 certain remedy in all cases ol
nervous debility nnd weakness of the most im
paired constitutions.
As a remedy for Ohronie nnd Inflammatory
Rheumatism, the efficacy ofthe Phumix Bitters
will lie demonstrated hv the use ofa sinelo bottle.
The usual dose of these Bitters is half u wine
glass full, in water or wine, nnd this quantity may
be taken two or three times a day, about half an
hour before meals, or a less quantity may be ta
ken at all times. To thoso who are nfllicted with
indigestion after meals, these Bitters will prove
invaluable, as’they very greatly increase the nc-
tion ofthe principal viscera, help them to perforin
thejr functions, and euubln tho stomach to dis
charge into file bowds whatever is offensive.
Thus indigestion is easily nnd speedily removed,
nppetile restored, and the mouths ofthe absorb
ing vessels being cleansed, nutrition is facilitated
and strength of body mid energy of mind arn file
happy results.
For farther particulars ofMoffnU's Life Pills
and Pliamix Bitters, apply at Moffatt's nffi:a No.
610 Droadway, New York, where die Pillscan be
obtained for 25 cents, 50 cents nnd 81 per box?

The Lucinn Cordial,
BEWARE OF FRAUD.
T HE unprecedented popularity of this benefi
cent and inestimable CORDIAL in the U*
nited States, has induced one or more unprinci
pled persons to manufacture spurious catchpenny
articles, under various names, and purporting to
produce the tame effect; but which, lit reality, pro
duce no other effeot than that of swindling the
public; nnd to give a yet more plausible appear
ance of Uicir cupidity, those persons affect thut
their wretched nostrums have been in use In
England and elsewhere fora number of years;
whereas, until the ilhtstrmmi Dr. Masnin made
his wonderftil discovery, -no cure for barrenness
had been ever thought of, or at least made pub
lic; .»nd ail those then in use for the restoration
ofr!..i decayed virile powers were found to be of
but little avail. Thus, nil nostrums advertised
for barrenness or the cure of impotency, but Dr.
Mngnin’s are mere catchpenny humbug*, which
would never have been thought of but for the tip-
lenrnnco nnd great celebrity ofthe LUCINA
CORDIAL. As no counterfeit ol'tlie name is
nt present in circulation, it .tuny in general be a
sufficient rnulinn for the purchaser to ask for the
Lucina Cordial, but as further nssurance,it would
be ns well to note that its name, Lucina Cordial,
or Elixir of Love, is stamped in the glass of each
bottle—the combined arms of Franco and file U-
nited States nre on the outward envelope—that
a Fleur de Lis is primed on the accompanying
directions, and beniitifully embossed on the show
bills hanging in the stores of those who havo tho
genuine nrtide for sale.
The celebrity of the Lucina Cordinl being such
as it is, it is scarcely necessary to add flint it is the
only efficient remedy for linrreniiess, nnd the res
toration of decayed \ irile powers ever known;
and that in tho cure, of Fluor Albus,Gleet, obstruc
ted, difficult or painful Menstruation, tho incon
tinence ofthe urine, or file involuntary dischnrgo
thereof, its superiority over every other medicine
is not only decided, but uiiqucHiionuhlp. For

PETEK’S FULLS.
W E would call attention to the advertisement
in our columns to-day of PETERS’ VEG
ETABLE PILLS. Wo understand by tho best
medical authority, that there is no preparation of
the day which enjoys so envinhle a reputation.
At the South and North, their success has been
unbounded, and wherever introduced we believe
they have given the most perfect satisfaction.
We have this day had an interview with one of
our citizens, Henry K. Fox, who was recently
cured of a most remarkable and obstinate cuta
neous eruption, whore the body wns covered with
fulsome ulcers, and even thn tonsil* or the thrnni
eaten away—and by using these Pills daily for six
weeks, was entirely restored to health.—New
York Examiner,
PETERS’ VEGETABLE PILLS.
They do indeed re»*nre the health ofthe body,
because theypurify ami invigorate the blood, and
their good effects are not counterbalanced hy any
inconvenience; being composed entirely of veg’-
etnbles, they do not expose those who use them
to danger, nnd their effects nre as certain as they
nre military; thoy are daily and safely adminis
tered to intancy, youth, manhood nnd old age, and
to women in the mostcritioalntiddelicute circum
stances, they do not disturb or shock the nnimnl
function#, but restores their order nnd re-estab
lishes their health; and for nil the purposes which
a vegetable purgative, or certain cleanser of the
whole system are required, they stand without a
rival.
