ting of blood, catarrhs, palpitation of the heart,
oppression and soreness of the chest, hooping
cough, pleurisy, hectic fever, night sweats, diffi
cult or profuse expectoration, and all oilier affec
tions of the chest, lungs and liver.
This article is prepured according to n recipe
procured from a very old nnd eminent physician,
the late Dr. Holyoke, who preserved his own life
by its efficacy, although of a consumptive con-ti*
tutiou, to the nstnnishing age of one hundred and
two yeuTs; until the age of eighty-seven, he was
engaged in very extensive practice, requiring
much exertion and exposure. Htiudred* nre

seemed to have marked for an early grave, who
owe their preservation to tlm use of this invalua
ble medicine.
The virtues of the herb “Liverworth,”- are In

the Liver aud Lungs, and it is now* considered by
all persons familiar with its effect, superior in
merit to ariy other medical preparation for these

Colds, bpilting of Blood, Arc. that many of
our physwan is daily employed it in their prac
