A NEW ERA IN AGRICULTURAL PROSPECTS.
COMBINATION OF
Kettlewelti Salta with Peruvian OuanoI .
G uano made a lastinq manure.—it win bo
remeraberod by all who have read tho advertise
ments or tho underalgned, In Uio American Farmor, and
elsowhore, that he Rankly admitted the superiority of
Peruvian Guano In the rapid production of a Wheat crop,
although he u firmly contended, ihnt hla Salto wore for
more luting, much better adapted to tho growth of clo
ver, with a decided advantage to the laud, for a rotation
or crops. To this opinion be still adheres, and Itbu been
confirmed by tho most extenalvo experience. . .
The opinion which the undersigned entertained, that
mixture of hla Chemical Balia apd Peruvian Guano, would
raako one of the most prompt, cheap, end what la of more
airatcd by unquestionably, one ortho most accomplished
and able chemist* wo have. -All who know Dr. David
Stewart, will admit that as an agricultural and sdentiflo
chemist, he Is second to no man In the nation.
For the ooncluslve and Intelligent reasons upon which
these opinions are Imaed, the understgnod confidently re
fers to the oommu/ilcatlon herewith published. Now the
undersigned ean testify Rom his own experience, not
only to tho liberality and enterprise wllh which the agri
cultural community seek tho best remedy lo renovate
tholr lands, and Increase tholr crops, but when dlnppolnt-
ed la their foil anticipations, the generosity and forbear-
