is to aid Nature.” This Prof. Roberta aims to do
by the great science of Animal Magnetism, and
that, too, without drags! It is the only system of
the medication that las God as its authority and
example, or that can be sustained by science or
common sense.

Augusta, Ga., March 12,1868.
I hereby certify that I have been partially para
lyzed for tour years. Four months of that lime I
was not Hble to make a step, or even so much as
move one of my toes on either foot, and was en
tirely destitute ol feeling in my legs.
I was examined by forty eight Confederate
Army Surgeons, all pronouncing me incurable—
having Curvature of the Spine, which produced
paralysis. I commeuced taking treatment of Pro
fessor Roberts, March 4th, 1868, and now, after
taking nine treatments, by Animal Magnetism. I
feel like a “new creature!" I can now stand up,
and walk any desired distance, without crutches
or canct, which was utterly impossible for more
than four years before seeing Dr. Roberts.
For reputation and responsibility, I refer those
interested to Mr. W. A. Ramsey. Mr. Edward
Rodgers, Mr. JohnM. Clark. Mr. Nicholas Young
blood, and Mr. John Houston, all of Augusta, Ga.
My address is Edgefield Courthouse. S. C.

Augusta, Ga., Feb. 29th, 1868.
This is to certify that I have been treated by
Prof. Roberts for a dropsical tnmor in the left side,
with which I have been afflicted for the last seven
years, and am confident that I am entirely cured,
not having experienced any of the unpleasant
symptoms which I did before the treatment, and
this by animal magnetism.

This certifies that I have been a great sufferer
with Rheumatism for five years, my left ankle
being much swollen, very stiff and painful. I
was treated twice only by Dr. Roberts, at the
Augusta Hotel, Febrnary 18th and 20th, 1868, and
now have not one symptom of Rheumatism or
pain in my body. A lithe medicine I bad taken
seemed to mate tne worse, and I never had
any relief until I was treated magnetically. People
may laugh ; but I have no more rheumatic
pains —that’s so.
I work iu the Augusta Hotel.

I have been a hopeless invalid for the weary
space of ten or twelve years laboring under a
combination of dreadful diseases which nave long
since been pronounced incurab, B. I had of late
grown rapidly worse, until three days since I was
brought to this city on a bed, being entirely unable
to sit up, for the purpose of consulting the far
famed Prof. Roberts. After tlie first treatment,
which was only a few minutes. I was flee of all
pain and able to walk anywhere, and to-day I feel
so well and strong I can scarcely realize that I
•atn the same being who was so feeble and suffer
ing so much three days since. I can never express
my heartfelt gratitude to the man whose wonder
ful skill has thns relieved me of so much inexpres
sible suffering. May God bless the Doctor

To whotn it may concern : This will certify that,
for eight months past I have been afflicted
with Neuralgia in the right side of the face, aud
most of the time suffered most excruciating pain,
daring which time I have sought relief iu vain
from tne regular medical profession ; and I further
certify that I was relieved the first time I was
treated by Prof. Roberts, and apparently pernia
ucntly cured after being treated the third time. I
most confidently recommend him to all similarly
afflicted. J. 13. LANIER.

Dr.R.R. Roberts: —This is to certify that I
have, for five yeart past, been afflicted with
goitre. Physicians pronounced it incurable, and
from them l obtained no relief, but upon tlie con
trary continued to grow worse, until treated by
you font- times, by Animal Magnetism, imJanuary
and February, 1868, since which time it has almost
disappeared, and I am entirely relieved from suf

This certifies that 1 have suffered exceedingly
with a large tumor on the left side of my face tor
twenty-live years. During this age of torture it
has been removed twice by painful surgical opera
lions, which only seemed to aggravate its growth.
When Dr. Roberts ernne to Atlanta I toodf treat
ment by Animal Magnetism, and have been
greatly benefitted by him—iu point of truth, more
than by the entire twenty seven “regular” doctors
who have attended me.
Under the treatment, the tumor softened and re
duced in size, the hearing in my left ear has been
restored, and iny left arm, which was almost use
less, lias been restored to its original strength. I
can now sleep on my left side—a tiling 1 could not
do for many years before. I firmly believe if I
could continue the treatment the tumor would
entirely disappear. Mils, J)..G. McLIN.
