The undersigned, constituting the National
Committee designated by the Convention
held at Baltimore on the 7th of June, 1861,

sentatives to which each State is entitled in
the National Congress.
We invite the cooperation of all citizens
who rejoice that oar great civil war has

the rebellion ; who would hold fast the

PAIN KILLER.
WE ASK THE ATTENTION OF THE PUB
LIC to thia long tested and unrivalled
FAMILY MEDICINE.
It has been favorably known for more than
twenty years, during which time we have received
thousands of testimonials, showing this Medicine
to be an almost never-failing remedy for diseases
caused by ov attendant upon—
Sadden Colds, Cottyhi, Fever and Ayue,
Headache, Bilious Fever, Pains in the Side.
Back and Loins, as well as in the Joints ami
Limbs; Neuraljia and Rheumatic Pain in
any part of the system, Toolhaclte and Pains
in the head and face.
As a Blood l’urifyer ami Tonic for the
Stomach, it seldom fails to cure Dyspepsia ,
Indiyeslion, Licer Complaint, Acid Stomach,
Heartburn, Kidney Complaints, Sick Head
ache, Piles, Asthma or Phthisic, Rinyworms,
Boils, Felons. Whitlows, Old Sores, Swelled
Joints, and General Debility of the System.
It is also a prompt and sure remedy for
Cramp and Pain in the Stomach, Painter’s
Colic, Diarrhea. Dysentery, Summer Com
plaint, Cholera Morbus, Cholera Infantum,
Scabls, Burns , Sprains, Bruises, Frost Bites,
Chilblains, as well as the Stinys of Inserts,
Scorpion, Centipedes, and the Biters of
Poisonous Insects ami Vencmons Reptiles.
See Directions accompanyiny each bottle.
It has been tried in every variety o f climate,
and by almost every nation known to Ameri
cans. It is the almost constant companion
and inestimable fiend of the missionary
and the traveller, on land and sea, and no
one shouhl travel on our lakes or rivers
without it.
Prices, 25 cents, 50 cents, and $1 per Mile.
I’rbry Davis’ Pain Killer —We have often
spoken of this (treat medicine in terms of very
high praise, and we bare as often felt that all we
could say in its favor would not do it full justice.
It it one of those medicines of which we can
speak—and speak decisively—from experience ;
for we bare repeatedly taken it, and invariably
with the best results and greatest satisfaction.
We always keep it on hand, ready for an emer
gency, and we regard it not only as one of the
very beat medloines in use for various ills, bu<
as one of the cheapest, also. Its cost, by the
way—that ia, the cost of tbe ingredients of which
it ia eomposed--has been considerably increased,
but the price of the medicine has been but very
little advanced. It is not likely that the popu
larity of Davis' Pain Killer will in any measure
decrease, or that the demand for it will in Ihe
slightest degree decline, until some other specific
Tor allaying pain and curing var'ons complaints
for which it is so generally used, shall be dis
covered, of equal potency with it—of which
there seein< to be but little probability. Asa
remedy for stomach complaints, such as dysen-
Uiry, diarrhcea, etc., the Pain Killer is, without
doubt, unsurpassed, and every where most de
servediy in demand. One, two, or three doses
of a teaspoonful each, in a wine glass of mild
and water With a little sugar, have repeatedly
within onr knowledge, effectually cured serious
trouble of this kind. Judgment should undoubt
edly be need in checking certain stages of diar
rhoea too suddenly; but taken at the proper
time, the Pain Killer will aet like a charm, and
frequently cure when nothing else will.— Prnel.

OF DEATHS, that annually

portion of those complaints
would, if Radway’s Ready Re

require,) were administered
when pain or uneasiness or
slight sickness is experienced,
be exterminated from the sys
tem in a few hours. PAIN, no

almost instantly cured by the
Ready Relief, a In cases of Cho
lera, Diarrhoea, Cramps, Spasms
Bilious Cholic, in fact all Pains,
Aches and Infirmities either in
the Stomach, Bowels, Bladder,
Kidneys, or the Joints, Muscles,
Legs, Arms, Rheumatism, Neu

ache, Toothache, &c., will in a
FEW MINUTES yield to the
soothing influence of the Ready
Relief.
Sudden Colds, Coughs, Influenza, Dip
thoria, Hoarseness, Sore Throat, Chills, Fever
and Ague, Mercurial Pains, Scarlet Fever,
Ac., Ac., take from four to six of Badway’*
Pills, and also take a teaspoonful of the
Ready Relief in a glass of warm water, sweet
ened with sugar or honey: bathe the throat,
head and chest with Ready Relief, (if Ague
or Intermittent Fever, bathe the spine also,)
in the morning you will be cured.
How the Ready Relief Acts 1
Id a few minutes the patient will feel s
slight tingling irritation, and the skin be
comes reddened; if there is much distress in
the stomach, the Relief will assist nature in
removing the offending cause,—a general
warmth is felt throughout the entire body,
and its diffusive stimulating properties
rapidly courses through every vein and tissue
of the system, arousing the slothful and
partially paralyzed glands and organs to re
newed and healthy action, perspiration fol
lows, and the surface of the body feels in
creased heat. The sickness at stomach, colds,
chills, head-ache, oppressed breathing, the
soreness of the throat, and all pains, either
internally or externally, rapidly subside, and
the patient falls into a tranquil sleep, awakes
refreshed, invigorated, cured. • ' t
It will he found that in using the Relief
externally, either on the spine or across the
kidneys, or over the stomach and bowels, that
for several days alter a pleasing warmth will
be felt, showing the length of time it con
tinues its influence over the diseased parts.

RADWAY’S REGULATING PILLS.
“ The Faculty of the College state in their

injurious to health, but are composed wholly
of substances and elements promotive of

period.”

R. R. R. Resolvent cures with
astonishing rapidity every form
of Chronic, Scrofulous and Skin

corruption from the human
system.
„ One bottle of Dr. Radway’s Renovating Re
solvent contains more of the active curative
principles of tho best Jamaica Sarsaparilla,
(Sarsaparillian,) than Ten of the largest size
bottles of the mixture sold under the name
of Sarsaparilla.
The process adopted by Dr. Radway in
securing extracts (prepared in vacuo,) of
Medicinal Roots, Plants, Herbs, and other
vegetables possessing great curative proper
ties over Scrofula, Chronic, Syphilitic and
ill skin diseases, that enters into tho com
position of the Renovating Resolvent, pro
duces only ONE OUNCE of the pure extract
out of 20 lbs. of the Aude roots. The Inert
matter that enters so generally in the large
bottle mixtures and prepared under the offi
cinal or pharmacopeia formula, is, by Dr.
Radway’s process, cast aside as rubbish. 1 *
One teaspoonful of the Resolvent is suffi

One teaspoonful, three times per day, will,

and transparent, the Hair strong, and remove
all Sores, Pimples, Blotches, Pustules, Tet

Neck, Mouth and Skin. It is pleasant to take,
and the dose is small. #
The first dose that is taken seizes on tho
disease and commences its work of resolving

RENOVATING RESOLVENT is the only

Its SOLVENT, diuretic, lithontriptie and

So sxcift is Ms remedy in passing into tns cir

to the liquid when cold a few pieces of starch,
