AN ORDINANCE, Regulating tho Collection of
Taxes.
He it ordained by the City Council of Augunta,
and it is hereby ordained by authority of the
same, That a discount of seven (7) per cent, he
allowed by the Collector and Treasurer on all
payments for Taxes standing on tho City Tax
Digest for the year 1868, if the same shall bo
paid in United States currency before the first
day of July next; and an additional tax of five
(5) per cent, shall bo added to all such Taxes as
remain unpaid after that date.
lie it farther ordained , That s o much of tho
Ordinance as requires tho pay men of interest
on such Taxes as remain unpaid after sixty
days' notice has boon given, bo and tho same is
hereby repealed.
