Postponed Assignee’s Sale.
IN PURSUANCE OF AN ORDER OF
Hon. A. G. Foster. Register in Bankruptcy,
will be sold between the legal hours of sale, at
Edgefield Court. House, in the county of Edgefield
and State of South Carolina, on the ffrst Monday
in January next, all the right, title and interest of
Francis Murray, Bankrupt, in the following
property, to-wit: ”
All tliat tract of Land being in the county and
State aforesaid, on Big Horse Creek, waters of
the Savannah river, containing 2,080* acres, more
or less, and bounded on the west by lands now
or formerly belonging to Wm. Gregg, on the
northeast by landsnow orformerly Lewis Elzey's,
on the east by lands now or formerly Mat May 's
and E Posey’s, on the southeast by land now or
formerly G, Rozier’s and Mrs. R. Swearingin's, on
the soul’ll by lands now or formerly Wm. Riggs’
and J. Hatcher's. Also, all the right, title and
interest of said Bankrupt in that other tract of
Land lying in the county and State afore
said, near the Graniteville depot, on the South
Carolina railroad, containing one and acres,
more or less, and bounded on the west by land
now or formerly William Morris', on the south
and east by land now or formerly Michael
O’Brien’s, on the north by the South Carolina
Railroad. The aforesaid tracts of Land being toe
same conveyed to said Francis Murray by Lucius
L. Hull, by deed dated the 27th day of November,
1860. Also, a lease liffld interest in four acres of
land adjoining Kalmia Mills, upon which there is
. a wooden house, containing seven rooms. Also,
two small carte.
The interest of said Francis Murray, in the
aforementioned property to be sold free'from the
encumbrance of any lien, held by any creditors of

the Fifth Circuit Court of the United States, for
the Southern District of Georgia, in favor of the
plaintiff, Cahart & Brother, m the folk-wing case,

have levied upon, as the property ot Edwin T.
Jones, defendant, his one-third interest in a Home
and Lot, in the city ot Augusta, county of Rich
mond and State of Georgia and more particu
larly described as being situated on the south side
of Broad street, containing a front on Broad street,
of forty-six feet, and running back one hundred
and forty-six feet, bounded on the East by Mr.
Curtis’ sot, and on the West by Mrs. Dill’s, and
will sell the same at public auction, at the Court
House, in the city of Augusta, county of Rich
mond and State of Georgia, on the first TUES
DAY in JANUARY next, between the lawful
hours of sale.

Government Proposals
Are invited for supplying the
Quartermaster’s Department, at the Augusta
Arsenal, with 160 Cords of good merchantable,
fiard WOOD—upland preferred. These pro
posuls must be in the usual form, and addressed
to the undersigned. They will be opened at 10
a. m., on Thursday, November 2bth, and bidders
are invited to be present. The successful bidder
will be required to enter into contract, and give
bonds iu the usual form.
One Hundred Cords are to be delivered before
February Ist, 1860 ; the remainder, at the con
tractor's option, any time before October Ist,
1860. Bids will be received for a part or tor the
whole amount.

viz., situated in the oounty of Richmond; One
Tract of Land, about three miles from the city of
Augusta, ou the Augusta and Savannah Railroad
(excepting the right of way of said railroad
through said tract of land), containing three hun
dred and nine acres, more or less, bounded south
by lands of John Phinizy and Reeky Creek, on
the west by lands now or formerly owned by De
laiigle, on the north by land now or formerly
owned by DeLaigle and a lane of John Phinizy,

and westby lot of the heirs of Jesse Kent, de
