Mr. Chanlep.’s Speech. —We are
indebted to Mr. Chanler, M. C. from New
Fork, for a copy of his speech, on the sub

bia,” delivered in the House of Represen
tatives, Jau. 12th, ISCC.
We received yesterday some of tbe
largest and nicest Irish Potatoes wo have
seen for a long time—one of them weighed
one pound and a half. They can be at the
grocery store of Levy A Jacobs, near the
Lower Market. Give them a call.
The Weather.—The weather took a
change again on Friday ovening, and was
quite cold and windy yesterday. The con
sequeuco was that there was quite a rise in
[Real Estate, that is the dust was stirring
around pretty freely.
River News. —There were no arrivals
yesterday.
The Laura and Swan left for Savannah.
No boats at the wharf.
