Fin in Satakkah.—The Savannah
Neves, of yesterday, states that a fire
broke out on Tuesday morning amongst
a lot of cotton lying at the Florida Steam
Packet Company’s wharf. It was sup
posed to have caught fire from the spark
of a pipe or segar. There were 214
bales of cotton on the wharf, nearly 100
of which were burned. A pile of light
wood (about twenty cords), also cuught
fire, and the greater portion was burnt.
The cotton, which was brought by the
Steamer Eclipse from Augusta on her
last trip, consigned to Oetavus Coheu,
was fully insured in a Northern office.
