NEW l OKh, April 2U—3 nere is no change to no
tice in the Money Market to-day. Tlie arrival of the
steamer America has rather unsettled the market
The advices uro considered highly favorable in a
commercial point of view.
Cotton has advanced ; so hns Breadstuffs. Ameri
can securities were in fair demand. The Money
Market continued easy, and the bullion in tlie Bank
ot England steadily increasing. This is ull good news
lor the commercial community here, and will doubt
less impart an enlivening innuence to our markets
ts soon as the newB shall have been properly digested.
, Liverpool, Saturday, April G.
There is increased buoyancy in tlie Corn Market.
Flour has adviuiced one shilling, and Indian Coni tile
same.
The Meal market is unchanged.
Dr American Provisions the market has been dull,
and prices are lower, especially tor Bacon, Hums, and
La; !, each ot which have receded about Is.
i h re have.been no sules of Turpentine. Common
American Rosin commands from 3s to 3s 2d.
Sugars;—Holders show n disposition to realize at
a reduction of (i a 7d per'ewt. At London tlie mark
et is dull, except for refined.
F height continues light. American .shipping is
scarce. Dead weight to New York, 17a (id. Fine
goods 80s.
The recent public saleR of Coffee nt Amsterdam
wore unsatislHctory and caused prices to recede.
They have since rallied slightly, but tlie market is so
unsettled tbut quotations would be useless. Good
ordinary native Ceylons sold at Loudon on the 2d at
53s. u 54s. 6d per cwt.
From the manufacturing districts generally, there
is little to report. The tone of the Manchester mark*
et lor some days past has been gradually improving,
especially for yarn mid tine goods. °
The money market continues easy and the bullion
is still Increasing in the bunk. It now exceeds 701
million pounds.
Consols have fluctuated for the last week from 951
to 90®, closing on Friday ut 96J for money and ac-
.count.
American stocks contiuue firm and in good request.
We have no quotations.
Brown, Shipley «fc Co’s Circular*
Liverpool, April5, 185 .
Throughout the week succeeding tile departure of
the last steamer, our Cotton market coutmued in a
dull and inactive state—with prices rather in favor of
buyers. This was succeeded hy a better demand,
with more steadiness in prices. On the day preced
ing the arrival of the Canada, in the anticipation thut
tlie uitvices by her would show a farther large de
crease in the receipts nt tlie ports, which, being "con
firmed, an active speculative inquiry sprung up on
tlie 2d instant. Buyers buying manifested no disposi
tion to purchase beyond their immediate wants, and
trade in Manchester continuing dull all activity had
ceased, the market closing quietly, with a strong de
sire on tho part of the holders to realize. Fair Or
leans a.-e quoted at 7i : lair Mobile 6} ; do Uplands

The sales of the week ending on the 28th ult, were

The total stock of Cotton in this port is called 505,
000 bales, ot wnieh 320,200 were American; against
a stock at this period last year of 440,000, of which
290,000 were American.
Indian Coni having been in rather more demand,
prices have advanced one shilling per quarter, and
liiuy now be quoted at 27s (id a 28s per quarter for
white, and 27s u 27s 6d to 28s per quurter for yellow,
and 27s a 27 6d per quarter for mixed and yellow.
Baltimore and Philadelphia flour has also advanced
