The new and splendid Steamer
HANCOCK.^ Murray, Master, is
making regular trips on the Savan
nah River, going through in the
quickest time ever made on that route. This Boat was
built at Pittsburg, Penn., at the head of the Ohio riv
er, and fitted for Freight and Passengers, in the eupe-
rio style known only to the Boats of that river. She
was brought, by her present Commander, around the
dangerous coaut of Florida, thus giving indisputable
evidence of her extraordinary
I’owt’r, Strength and Safety.
The Hancock is capable ot transporting forty Pas
senger in her splendid cabins, and three hundred tons of
Freight; with certainty and safety, at all stages of the
river, being the best modelled Boat for lightness of
draft, ever brought into these waters.
In connection with the Boat are three spacious
Warehouses.
Goods consigned to the Boat will be received, stor
ed and forwarded, and all charges puid free of Com
mission. Goods will be received from, und forward
ed to any point.to which freight is carried by any con
veyance ; and shippers may rely upon the same care
and attention being given to their goods that could be
given if they were present in person.
