Conscious of the room for Improvement, and assured
that the Seods-inun who should justly be entitled to
confidence, would receive ample support, the foun
ders ot the establishment, now conducted by the,
subscriber, started mora than half a century ago,
with the determination to sell nothing but what was
worthy of credit j anjd that they might the more cer
tainly accomplish their object, resolved to produce,
as far as possible, -the seeds which they should vend;
experience having'Shown thorn that most imported
seeds could not be relied on, much leSs those, casual
ly collected, and sold to dealers.—The result was as
they had foreseen :—unlimited public confidence.
Tho concern thus conducted, has been graduaMfcen-

From YVilliiun Riclinrds, M. D.
I feel constrained from a sense of duty to make
the following statement, conscious that it may appear
unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wade, pt this city, was
ite low with Pulmonary Consumption, for which I
hnd been treating with leas than usual success. At
his requost, mid thRt of his friends, I permitted him
to try Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and Tar ; and I must
confess that its effects wore really surprising. After
using the second bottle my visits were discontinued,
nnd he was soon restored to health. 1 do con
scientiously recommend my brother practitioners to
prescribe this r< mody in nil pulmonary complaints
which buflle tbe ordinary mode of treatment.

A certain remedy for all fixed pains in the Side,
Chest, Loins, Back, Bowels, Muscles, Rheumatism in
all its varied forms, Nervous Affections, Lungs und
Liver Complaints, Spinal Affections, Female Weak
nesses, etc., etc. For the above complaints this Plas
ter lias no equal. Tho great celebrity which it has
already acquired, not only in the old, but in the new
world, the extraordinary cures it has performed in
the most extreme eases of suffering, have required
for it such a reputation, that tbe proprietor has not
until recently been able to supply halt the demand.
The sales throughout every city, town and village
in the United States, arc without a parallel I
A circumstance not surprising, when the vast a-
mount of human suffering relieved by its use is con
sidered. In spinal Defects, tbe benefit usually is of
the most decided character. In Nervous Complaints,
nineteen cases out of twenty readily yield to the pen
etrating stimula combined in this valuable prepara
tion.
In Rheumatism, either acute or chronic, the claims
of the Hebrew Plaster have long since been univer
sally acknowledged. Those who are laboring under
weak backs, no matter from what cause the weakness
may have originated—even if sucli persons have been
misguided in previous applications in the use of the
Hebrew Plaster they will find the affected part sud
denly restored to its original soundness.
As a supporter in cases of constitutional weakness
it will be found of great advantage. It is particular
ly recommended to FemaleB who are suflerlng from
sudden weakness or general debility. In short, it
embraces fill the virttles which the most scientific mind
was capable of compounding from valuable substan
ces found iff tho did world, and wiil be found entire
ly tree from those objections which are a source of
complaint with the numerous spread-plasters now
