PURCHASERS OP GARDEN
PURCHASERS OK GARDEN SEEDS. It is
self evident, that unless the seeds which we may
aovr, are' good in all respects, it will be folly to ex
pect favorable results—either we shall bo disappoint
ed by their not vegetating, or what is still more
vexatious, find, after careful culture, that the variety
is worthless-How many from their own expori
once can estimate tho Annoyance of such an event I
Conscious of tho room for improvement, and assured
that the seeds-man who should justly be entitled to
oontidenee, would receive ample support, the foun
ders ot tho establishment, now conducted by the
subscriber, started more than half a century ago,
with the determination to sell nothing hut wlmt was
worthy of credit; mid that they might thu more eer
tainly Accomplish their object, resolved to produce
ns far aa possible, the seeds which they should vend j
experience having shown them that most imported
seeds could not be relied on, much lesstAosc casual-
l) collected, and said to dealers.—Tho result was as
they had foreseen :—unlimited public ceniidenro.
The concern thus conducted, lias been gradually en
larged, and is now tho most extensive of its kind in
America ; supplying not only much of the domund
in the Middle, Western and .Southern States, but ex
porting to tho West Indies, South America and the
British Posessions in Asia. DAVID LANDRKT1I.

From William Klelinrils, M. D.
I feel constrained irofh a sense of duty to make
the following statement, conscious that it may appeur
unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wnde, of this city, wie
quite low with Pulmonary Consumption, tor which I
had been fronting with less than usual success. At
liis request, and that of his friends, I permitted him
to try Dr. Rogers' Liverwort and Tar; and 1 must
confess that.its effects were really surprising. After
using the second bottle my visits were discontinued,
and lie was soon restored to health. I do con
scientiously recommend my brother practitioners to
prescribe this remedy in all pulmonary complaints
which baffle tho ordinary mode of treatment.

A certain remedy for oil fixed pains in tho Side,
Chest, Loins, Back, Bowels, Muscles, Rheumatism in
all its varied forms, Nervous Affections, Lungs and
Liver Complaints, Spinal Afflictions, Female Weak
nesses, etc., etc. For the above complaints this Plas
ter has no EQUAL. The great celebrity which it has
already acquired, not only in the old, but in the new
world, the extraordinary cures it has performed in
the most extreme cases of suffering, have acquired
for it such a reputation, that the proprietor has not
until recently been able to supply half the demand.
The sales throughout every city, town and village
in the United States, are without a parallel I
A circumstance not surprising, when the vast a-
mount of human Buffering relieved by its use is con
sidered. In spinal Defects, tile benefit usually is of
the moBt decided character. In Nervous Complaints,
nineteen cases out of twenty readily yield to the pen
etrating sttmula combined in this valuable prepara
tion.
In Rheumatism, either acute or chronic, the claims
of the Hebrew Plaster have long since been univer
sally acknowledged. Those who tiro laboring under
weak bncks, no mutter from what cause the weakness
may have originated—even if such persons have been
misguided in previous applications i» the use of the
Hebrew Plaster they will find the affected part sud
denly restored to its original soundness.
As a supporter in cases of constitutional weakness
it will be found of great advantage. It is particular
ly recommended to Females who nre sufiering from
Budden weakness, or general debility. In short, it
embraces all the virtues which the most scientific mind
was capable of compounding from valuable substan
ces found in the old world, and will be found entire
ly free from those objections which nre a source of
complaint with the numerous spread-plasters now
before the public.
These plasters possess the advantage of be
ing put up in air tight boxes—hence they retain their
full virtues in all climates.
