„ „ GARDEN SEED .-TO
PURCHASERS OF GARDEN SEEDS. It is
self evident, that unless the seeds which we may
sow, are good in all respects, it will he folly to ex-
peut favorable results—either wo shall be disappoint
ed by their not vegetating, or what ia atill more
vexatious, ilud, after earefulculturc. that the variety
ia worthless .-—How many from their own experi
ence can estimate the annoyance of such an event I
Conscious of the room for improvement, and assured
tout the soeds-mau who should justly bo entitled to
confidence, would receive ample support, the foun
ders ot the establishment, now con lucted by the
subscriber, started more than half a century ago,
with the determination to sell nothing but whut was
worthy of credit; and that they might the more cer
tainly accomplish their object, resolved to produce,
as far os possible, the seeds which they should vend;
experience having shown them that most imported
seeds could not bo relied on, much less those casual
ly collected, and sold to dealers.—The result was as
they had foreseen :—unlimited public confidence.
Tho concern thus conducted, has been gradually en
larged, and is now tho moat extensive of its kind in
America; supplying not only much of the demand
in Bio Middle, Western and Southern States, but ex
porting to the West Indies, South America and the
British Posesaiona in Asia. DAVID LANDRETH,

From the Hon. Judge Henry Morse.
Mr. A. L. Scovill; 1 am well acquainted with

From William Richards, M. D.
I feel constrained from n sense ot duty to make
the following statement, conscious that It may appear
unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wade, otthls city, was
quite low with Pulmonary Consumption, lor which I
had been trenting with less than usual success. At
his request, nnd that of hla fi-iends, I permitted him
to try Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and Tar ; and I must
confess thatits effects were really surprising. After
using the second bottle my visits wore discontinued,
nnd ho was Boon restored to health. I do con
scientiously recommend my brother practitioners to
prescribe this rt medy in all pulmonary complaints
which baffle the ordinary mode of treatment.

TURNER’S
Compound Fluid Ex-tract of Conyza and
Styllingta.
'riHIS preparation is a Concentrated Exti nct, con-
l turning all the Active Medical Properties of the
Conyza, (commonly known aa Black Root,) and the
Styllingin, or Queen’s Delight.
These plants have been long used among our South
ern Negroes, and recently by the Medical Profession,
with the happiest results, in cases of Chronic Itheu-
mutism, Ulcers of long standing, und Secondary
Syphilis. It is much superior to any preparation of
Sarsaparilla as an alterative, being more active and
prompt in its operation on the system. These facts
have induced the subscribers to present to the atten
tion of Physicians a fluid extract prepared strictly ac
cording to Chemical and Parmaceunrnl science, de
void of all the feculent and inert parts of the roots,
not doubtingthat it willsuperacdethe unscientific-and
crude preparations hitherto used.
Price—81 per bottle, or six bottles for $5.
