f ANDRKTH’S OAHOEN SEED .~TO
JL PURCHASERS OF GARDEN SEEDS. It is
self evident, that unless the seeds which wo may
bow, are good in all respects, if will be folly to ex-
peottavorable results—either we shall be disappoint
ed by their not vegetating, nr what is still more
vexatious, find, after careful culture, that the variety
la worthlessHow many from their own experi
ence can estimate the annoyance of such an event!
Conscious of the room for improvement, and assured
. that the seeda-man who should justly be entitled to
confidence, would receive ample support, the foun
ders ot the establishment, now conflicted by the
tubsoribor, started more titan half a century ago.
'With tho determination to eell nothing but what was
tWorthy of credit; and that they might tho more cer
tainly accomplish their object, resolved to produce,
as far as possible, the seeds which they should vend t
experience having shown them that most imported
seeds could not be relied on, much less those casual
ly collected, and told to dealers.—The result was as
they had foreseen unlimited public confidence.
Tho concern thus conducted, has been gradually en
larged, and ia now the most extensive of its kind in
America; supplying not only much of the demand
in the Middle, Western and Southern States, but ex
porting to the West Indies, Sot»h America and the
British Posesaions in Asia. DAVID LANDRETH.

From tlie lion. Judge Henry Morse.

Dr. Hiram Cox nnd his practice, he having been my
family physician lor many years, and can clieerlully
sav that 1 have as much confidence in his skill as Rny

Cincinnati, Nov. 8th, 1847.
From Willinm Richards. M. D.
I feel constrained from a sense of duty to make
tlie following statement, cottsciouB that it may appenr
unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wade, ofthiBcity, was
quite low with Pulmonary Consumption, for whie.lt I
had been treating with less than usual success. At
his request, and that of bis friends, I permitted him
to try Dr. Rogers’Liverwort and Tar; and I must
confess that its effects were Tnally surprising. After
using the second bottle my vjsits wore discontinued,
nnd ho was soon restored to health. I do con
scientiously recommend tny brother practitioners to
prescribe this remedy in all pulmonary complaints
which bailie the ordinary mode of treatment.

A certain remedy for all fixed pains in the Side,
Chest, Loins, Back, Bowels, Muscles. Rheumatism in
all its varied forms, Nervous Affections, LungB nnd
Liver Complaints, Spinal Affections, Female Weak
nesses, etc,, etc. For the above complaints this Pins
ter has noj equal. The great celebrity which it has
alrendy acquired, not only in the old hut in the new
world, tlie extraordinary cures it has performed in
the most extreme cases of suffering, have acquired
foritsuch a reputation, that the proprietor baa not
until recently been able to supply half the demand.
The sales throughout every city, town and village
in the United States, are without a parallel I
A circumstance not surprising, when the vast a-
mount of human suffering relieved by its use is con
sidered. In spinal Defects, the benefit usually is of
A: most decided character. In Nervous Complaints,
nineteen cases out of twenty readily yield to the pore
etrating stimula combined in this valuable prepara
tinn. . , , ,
In Rheumatism, either acute or chronic, the claims
of the Hebrew Plaster have long since been univer
sally acknowledged. Those who are laboring under
weak hacks, no matter from what cause tlie weakness
may have originated—even if such persons have been
misguided in previous applications in the use of the
Hebrew Plaster they will find the affected part oud
denly restored to its original soundness.
As a supporter in cases of constitutional weakness
it will be found of great advantage. It is j articular-
ly recommended to Females who are sufinring from
sudd, n weakness, or general debility. In short, it
embraces all the virtues which tlie mostscientific mind
was capable of compounding f> om valunblp substan
ces found in the old world, and wiil be found entire
ly tree from those objections which are a source ol
complaint with the numerous spread-piasters now
before the public.
These plasters possess the advantage of be
ing put up in air tight boxes—lienee they retain their
full virtues in all climates.

Compound Fluid Ex-ti-nct of Conyza and
StyllinKla.
’ | ( HIS preparation is a Concentrated Extract, con-
l taining all the Active Medical Properties of the
Conyza, (commonly known as Black Root,) and the
Styllingiii. or Queen’s Delight.
These plants have been long used among our South
ern Negroes, and recently by the Medical Profession,
with the happiost results, in cases of (Ihroriic Rheu
matism, Ulcers of long standing, and Secondary
Syphilis, it is much superior to any preparation of
Sarsaparilla as an alterative, being more active and
prompt in its operation on the system. These facts
have induced the subscribers to present to the atten
tion of Physicians a fluid extract prepared strictly ac
cording to Chemicnl and Purmaceunra] science, de
void of all the feculent and inert parts of the roots,
not doubting that it will supersede the unscientific and
crude, preparations hitherto used.
Price—$1 per bottle, or six hotlies for $5.
