WHEREAS, by an aft of Abe Lrgillattire of thty
state, patted at Louifvitle the 3d of February,
,708, the fubferibers are empowered to eftablifli a Lottery,
for the purpose of ratling the sum of three thouland dol
lars, to be appropriated to clear *and improve the Naviga
tion of the Alatamaha and Oconee Rivers, in conference
thereof they propose the following

4000 tickets, at 5 dollars each, is 20000 dollars.
The Lottery will be drawh at Louisville in January,
1799, during the fitting of the next Legislature. All
prizes will be paid within ten days after the drawing is com
pleted, fubjeft to a deduction of 15 per cent. Prizes not
called for within fix months after drawn to be confidercd
as donations for the purpoies of the Lottery.
The number of high prizes holds out to adventurers the
greatest profpeft of foccefs; but, independent of gain, the
Commissioners flatter themselves that they will meet with
support from the inhabitants of those counties immediately
concerned in that navigation; and they are happy to acknow
ledge that they have received the moft liberal affuranee of
the support from many refpeftable citizens *>oth in Savan
nah and Augusta to forward the sale of tickets. Upon the
•whole, they have not the finalleft doubt that ail the tickets
will be fold, And the drawing positively take place at the
rime appointed. Tickets to be had from any of-the Com
jniffioners, and also at the places hereafter named of the
following persons, viz. At Savannah, of Messrs. Robert
and John Bolton, Meins and Mackay, M‘Call and Miller,
John D. Dickinson, and William Belcher. At Augusta,
of David Reid and Andrew Innes. At louifville, of John
Berrien. At North Newport,- of Thomas Lapchefter. At
Sunbufy, of Adam Alexander. At St. Mary’s, of Ardii
bald Bulloch. In Greene county, of Robert Grier and
George Reed: In Hancock county, of Charles Abercrom
bie and David Dixon. In Washington comity,- of John

fore to cite and admonish all and singular the kindred and
creditors of the said deceased to be and appear before me,
at my office in the city of Savannah, on the 4th day of
