INFORMATION, being laid before Council, that the
Yellow Fever has made its appearance in the City of
Philadelphia, • ‘ /• ’ /• y
It is ordered , That the Health Officer be direfted to
order all vessels coming from the Pori -of Philadelphia to
be brought to at Cockipur, and there to perform a qua
rantine of fifteen days, including their days of failing, and
that, during the performance of the said quarantine, the
woollen and cotton goods on board fliall be, on every fair
day, exposed to the open r, and the holds of the vefiels
ventilated in the best possible manner, and that, after that
time, tliey be permitted to come up as high as Fhe
Fathom Hole, and there remain until they shall receive
a certificate of health from the Health Officer.
Provided nevertbelefs, That the above goods shall be
exposed to the air, and the vessel ventilated, at least three
days before the said vefTel. be permitted to come up to the
said last plate, notwithstanding the fifteen days from the
failing of the said vessel may have before expired.
And it is further ordered , That the Health Officer
compel the matters or commanders of vefiels coming to this
port, with anv articles fubjeft to putrefaction, and finding
the fame in a decaved or uiifotmd state, to land such articles
at any place which the said matter or commander may think
proper, so that the said place be not higher up the river than
Five Fathom Hole; and that in such case the laid vefTel
fliall be well ventilated, at least three days after the dis
charge of such decayed or unsound articles, before she is
allowed to fail up to Savannah.
And it is further ordered, That all persons contraven
ing these orders fliall be prosecuted as the quarantine law
direfts.

FURTHER information having been laid before Coun
cil, that the Yellow’ Fever has spread considerably
in Philadelphia, and rages at present with great violence,
Ref jived, That the term of *5 days quarantine, or
dered by the resolution of the sd instant to be performed
by vessels arriving from that port, be extended to 21 days,
and that all woollen and cotton goods be exposed, and the
vessel ventilated, at least fix days, in manner direfted bv
the said resolution of the 2d instant; and that tlie Health
Officer govern hftnfelf in all other refpefts agreeably to
thr laid resolution.

WHEREAS information hath teen received by the
Mayor that the Yellow Fever rages with violence
in the city of Baltimore, whereupon the Mayor hath
caiifcd a ipecial meeting of Council to be convened, to
whom he hath communicated such information,
Wherefore refclvede That vefiels coming from the said
port of Baltimore shall perforin, in all refpefts, the fame
quarantine as is preferibed to vefiels coming from Phila
delphia py the resolutions of Council of the 2d aud 23d
instant.
Refolded, That, should any case occur that, in the o
p.nion of the Health Officer, a longer term of quarantine
than 21 days may be necessary to be performed by aav
particular vessel, he (tlie Health Officer) be and he ts
liereby authorised to order such further quarantine to be
performed as lie may think proper.

“ state may have against the Creek Nation of Indians,
“ whith said claims shall, before they are exhibited, be

“ terefted persons, taken and certified by any judge, justice
“ of the peace, or clerk of the ftiperior or inferior courts, 1 ’
having passed both BrancheS-of the Legislature, and re
ceived the assent of the Executive,
It is ordered, That all persons having claims against
the Creek Nation of Indians, for property of any dele rip*
tion by them taken or phuidered, be, and they are hereby
required to tranlmit the fame as soon as possible to the Ex
ecutive Department, authenticated in the manner by tlie
afore recited resolution pointed out.

States, Be it therefore enabled, by the Senate and House
of Representatives of the State of Georgia, in General
Assembly met, That, at the general eltftion which ilra.ll be
held for Members of the State Legislature, on the firft
Monday in October next, and at every fecohd general e
leftion thereafter, the Eleftors at such eieftions fliall be
entitled to vote for four persons to represent this state in
the Houle-of Representatives of the United States, under
such rules and regulations as are preferibed by the Eleftion
Laws of this state now in force.
