as her timbers are all good. The two are said
to be very low at eight hundred dollars. I will

Milledgeville, July 20, 1832. 17..
ItllE thing is out, 'tis true I swear it.— That
. from and after the 10th day of September
next, all those unsettled accounts and demands
that have been called for from ten to a hundred
times, and some too of 14 months standing, with
out reserve will be putin the hands of Officers
for collection ; also, many small demands of short
standing—-those I mean who feel indignant at a.
dun, thinking if it is done in an officer-like man
ner it will be more satisfactory to them, and leas
trouble to me ; and notwithstanding, many of
those long-winded gentry threaten me with the
loss of their patronage, I will only remark that
nothing could be more congenial to my feelings
than the loss of that patronage which day by day
and step by step would drag me to tbe red-house
under the hill In fact it has become almost the
order ot the day, that when you a*k foryn*-mo
ney, you recede naught out insult, and it is not
unfrequent that you are laughed at, because yout
bI U 1S so small, some will very candidly tell you
that you are too poor to keep a stable, when at the
same time it is such men keeping you out of your
money, that makes you poor. If any business
requires cash it is mine, and I have never known
a place, but tins, that a credit was expected for
one hour, much less six months. The evil must
be remedied, or I sink, and sink I never will as
long as I have any thing to hold to, and I am
tired of asking for it:
AoAai-c it 1 may, but have it I must,
.Ind f the law will give it me, doubtless its just.
So now I take my leave of the above-named '
and reuirn my smeere thanks to the good citizens
of Macon lor their liberal patronage and prompt
pay, without which my horses must’ve perished;
and while I solicit a continuance of their patron
age, 1 will add, I shall be ever happy to serve
them in the capacity 1 represent, and every care’
shall be taken to promote their iutercst and conn
tort and to render general satisfaction.

I IME—The subscriber still continues* manu- ‘
J-ifactunnp Lime at his plantation in Crawford
county, where it can be had a* all times in quan
tities to suit purchasers and upon accommodating
terms —to wit: "

It may also be had at the following places at the
undermentioned prices to wit:

Ai s * * n I" orayth in the rock per bar

And in Macon at Messrs. Ellis, Shotwell A eo.
per barrel in the rock *3 76 slacked $2 50
Also, stt the subscribers in Macon per barrel in '
the rock $3 75 slacked $2 50.
Tbe increased demand has ertabled me to put
the prices at a reduced rate, arid I think I may ven
ture to assert that from the improvements I have
been daily making in tbe burning, together with:
my selection of rock, that I now have Lime equal’
to any Thomaston Lime, except its whiteness,
and this I hope to improve. I believe for brick'
work and cement, no lime on earth is superior '
but that part T am disposed to leave with tbs pub
lic, and if it does not sustain itself, I want noth-'
ing for it.
I deem it nnnecessary to troqble the communi
ty with along list of certificates vouching for the
virtues of the lime, when I propose a trial and if
not good—no pay— more is unnecessary.
All orders from tjtp country thankfully received
and promptly attended to. J. BENNETT.
