rpi IK thing is out, Hit true I swear it. —That
i from and after the 10th day of September
, next, all those unsettled accounts and •'emanda
that have been called for from ten to a hundred
times, and some too of 14 months standing, with
out reserve will be put in the bands of Officers
lor collection ; atao, many small demands of short
standing—-those 1 mean who feel indignant at a
dun, thinking if it is done in an officer-like man
ner it will be more satisfactory to them, and less
trouble to me; and notwithstanding, many of
those long-winded gentry threaten me with tho
loss of their patronage, 1 will only remark that
nothing could he more congenial to my feelings
than the loss of that patronage which day by day
and step by step would drag me to the red-house
under the hill In (act it has become almost tho
order of the day, that when you ask for your mo
ney, you receive naught but insult, and it is not
1 unf reijuent that you are laughed at, because yoor :
bill is so small, some will very candidly tell you
ti.al you are too poor to keep a stable, when at tbet
same time it is such men keeping you out of your
money, that makes you poor. If any business’
requires cash it is mine, and I have never known
a place, hut this, that a credit w?,a expected for
one hour, much less six months. The evil must
he remedied, or I sink, and sink I neyer will as
long as I have any thing to hold to, and I am
1 tired of asking for it:
So have it t may, but have it /must,
-ind if the law wilt give it me, doubt less ihjusl,
So now 1 take my leave of the above-named
and return my sincere thanks to the good citizen*
ol Macon (or their liberal patronage and prompt
pay, without which my horses must’ve perished]
and while I solicit a continuance of their patron
age, I Mill add, 1 shall be evet happy to servo
them m the capacity 1 represent, and every care
shal, he taken to promote their interest and com
fort and to render general satisfaction.

The increased demand has enabled me to put
the prices at a reduced rate, and 1 think 1 may ven
ture to assert that from the improvements I have
been daily making in the burning, together with
my selection of rock, that I now have Lime equal'
to any Thomaston Lime, except its whiteness,
and this I hope to improve,' I believe for brick
work and cement, no lime 011 earth is superior
hut that part 1 am disposed to leave with thepub
lic, and it'it does not sustain itself, I want noth
ing for it.
1 deem it unnecessary to trouble the communi
ty with a long list of certificates vouching for the
virtues of the lime, when 1 propose a trial and if
not good—no pay —more is unnecessary.
