Woodho-tscs of Wethersfield, and which are rarely surpassed in hcautyhy the most cost ly Leghorns. One very little inferior was also exhibited, made by Miss Hanmerofthe same place. They were made of the Poa Pretends or spear grass, and those which re ceived the premiums sold for S-AO, the other for S27. Another, of a quality almost equal to those just mentioned, was made by a young lady of Windsor, of the sweet scent ed vernal gra'*; and one of split straw, by Miss Capen of Hartford, was remarked for it’s extraordinary delicacy ot texture. At this fair hlso there was a great display of va luable and ingenious domestic articles.
