excited in order to promote the views of the

room and chamber servant, (excelling ns a nurse
in a sick room) is a good seamstress, using her
neeitta in iier left hand, and is equalled by few
in pleating and otherwise preparing fiue female
apparel—She carried ofi’with bora large supply

usually worn by servants. The girl’s name is
JANE,
lint she may change her name, or add to it the
names of Nelson, Snow, or some other name.—
She was raised in or near hichinoud, in Virgi

which plnce, her mother now lives. Some
years since, perhaps in the years 181!) or 20,she
was purchased in Richmond by Charles H. Nel
son, or Samuel B. Head, and was taken thence
with other negroes to Pittsburg or Wheeling,
and bv water to Neyv-Orlenns. from the fact
of her being a good servant and her going off
unoffending; having performed her duty sntis-
faclorilv to iler mistress and myself lo the mo

it is believed that she wits induced tb leave my
service through the influence of a white man,
