OMETIM E in September last, I gave a bond to
VjT Reuben Hill, of Columbia county, wherein I
bound myself to make him titles to Lot of Land No.
131, and the east half of Lot 132 in the 30th district of
originally Lee, hut now Sumter county, for which he
gave me his notes due 25lli December. 1834. and his
firm promise to meet me at tin* day when they were
due. at which time I was to give him possession. I
made my arrangements accordingly . but have been de
ceived, as Mr. Hill lias not yet complied with bis con
tract.
Under the supposition therefore, that I rnnv have gi
ven him a bond vv ithnut a condition depending upon
the payment of the notes, ns Ido not exactly recollect
its terms. I think proper to notify Mr. Hill and the pub
lic, that I shall bold tin* land in possession as security
lor the payment ot the notes, and will not make a title
till they are paid.
