GENUINE POETRY.
The following strong portrait is from the pen
of “FLACCU*,” of the New York American.
AVho is •* Flnccus?** Did we not know that Hal*
leek is busily engaged in mercantile pursuits, we
should attribute the productions of Ehcctts to his
pen. The lines we subjoin would not discredit
any liting poet on eithei side of the water. A
lew such sketches would immortalise the writer.
'Phis we know is strong praise, but the subjoined
is strong poetry, nml is in broad contrast with the
n imby-pambyism of the present day.
