Ticket, io Richmond, though a surprise, must he

took place, its success was not supposed possi

that his name was stricken from the tickets of

In thin morning’s paper \ve publish an account
df the dentil of Gen. Cui-vkk one of the candi
date* for Congress on the Union ticket, which
was received in a slip from the office of the Geor
gia Journal on .Saturday morning, through the
hands of a gentleman of this city. It was re
printed by us. and forwarded to several of the ad
joining counties on the day Billowing. On .Mon
day morning the Constitutionalist warned tin* U-
nion men against being influenced by tin.* intelli-
aenre. stated that no news of the kind had
been received at their office, although the Federal
Union was received from Milledgevillc. on Sunday
evening, two (Fay* after this slip reached us.
