Park’s Bridge, April 1st. 18717.
Gentlemen—I received a few lines from you, dated March
29tli, requesting me to make a statement to you of all the hcurfi.
cial information that has fallen under my notice from the use of
Coster A Coke’s Uovthers Toxic. I can but say .to you
that from the limited experience I have with the Tonic,'and
as far as I have used it, I am well pleased with the article.
The reason I was induced to make a trial cf the Tonic, was
my having some patients who, from idiosyncracy of constitu
tion, co-aid not bear the quinine. I was compelled to resort to
some offer remedy, and seeing in the papers this article highly
recommended, I resolved ic^give it a trial, consequently Ior-
dererl half a dozen bottles frein Mr. Towell in Milledgeviile-
and in using this Tonic,- I fbnjftd it necessary to administer in
larger doses than wlmt is.directed by tlie proprietors. Bv this
means I was enabled to cheek the intermitting fever, in everv
imtanec, where it had been given according to directions. I
have also used this article with considerable benefit in chrome
complaints, where there was hectic fever. I have now a pa
tient under treatment affected with clileosis; she is rapidiv
convalescent. The patient, when I was called to see her. was
unable to get out of bed, with alarming hemorrhage from the
.nose. She has been treated with Peters’ pills and this Tonic.
I ought to have observed, tlfJtt this vonng lady has been afflir’.
ed with this complaint for the last six or seven years, and has
taken medicine from various physicians without any benefit
She is now in better health than she has been ir. five years
previous, and I think will, with perseverance in the use of this
article, regain tier former healff; but the result of this ease
shall be reported to you, and ail offer effectual resists which
shall come under iuy notice. Y’ou are at liberty'to use this
letter, or any extract from it you wish.
I am your.'., with respect,
THOMAS K. SLAUGHTER.
From our Rcprcsrntative to the Legislature, Col. Jno. A. Ccw.pbcii.
Gentler:,-,. :—No medicine stands so high in my estimation as
your Southern Tonic, for the cure of Ague and Fever. I used
it at first "by tlie advice of my family physician, with success,
and its effects upon more recent cases have bceii equally gtati-
fying. Y'ours truly, JNO. A. CAMPBELL.
From W31. M’Le3IOKE, Fry.. Mender of the Legislature, Ala.
Montgomery County. Dec. 1, 1835.
Messrs. Coster a Coxe:—Dear Sirs—I feel gratified by
this opportunity of testifying to the merits of your Southern
Tonic. I have used it in many cases in my white and colored
family, and not one case failed. In short'.I assure the public
that 0. is. in my opinion, the best medicine for the cure of Fever
and Ague cow iu use. Yen re.-pectfuBv vours.

Frcm Major J. B. Morse.
Dear r 11'. : 1 had been afflicted with Ague and Fever or
a long time, end although the remedies which were prescribed
gave me temporary relie f, yet r.cr.e remo-ed the cause of tbe
disease, and thereby permanently cured me till I used your
Southern Tonic, ltd d so. This gave me great confidence in
it. and :is I saw that you had recommended it in cases of debifi-
ly, general weakness, and inactivity of the digestive ersans, 1
induced my wife, who had been laboring under these syrup
tom.-, for a year or more, to try it. She used one bottle'witu
some evideinvs of an increase of health, and a few bottler
more, taken in moderate deeses, entirely cured her.
Respectfully yours, ‘ J. B. MORSE.
