tees have committed to his hands the entire regulation
of the internal police of the School, so that the discipline the
rates of tuition, and the classification of studies, will be or
dered at bis discretion, and they trust to the satisfaction of ail

The exercises of the School in this village, will commence
on Monday the 7th January inst. It will be seen by (he
following statement, that severul studies formerly included
in those of the second and third classes, have been transferred
to the first and second, and that the juice of tuition in the
first has been much reduced. The rates are as follows :
Primary Class—Including Orthography, Reading, Writing,
and Arithmetic, #12 j)er year.
Second Class—Including with the above Geography, Ena
lish Grammar, Book-keeping, and Natural Philosophy, $24
per year.
Junior Class—Including with the preceding. Chymistry,

low in Stature, dark complexion, and is a fiddler. It is be
lieved that the above negroes were taken off by one Solo
mon Willy Hatcher, who was raised in the neighborhood,
and 011c of the negroes belonged to his mother, as lie has not
since been seen or heard from in the neighborhood. Hatcher
is of fair complexion, near 6 feet high, about 25 years of age,
grey eyes, dark hair, well built, is fond of spirits and gaining
and by no means intelligent, and is find ot the company ol
colored people. A reward of Three Hundred Dollars will
be paid on the delivery of the four first named negroes aud
Hatcher, with proof sufficient to convict him; or Fifty Dol
lars a piece for either of the first four negroes named, and
One Hundred Dollars for Hatcher, with proof sufficient for
conviction. Direct any written information iu relation to the
above Hatcher aud negioes, addressed to either of the un
dersigned at Fenn's Bridge Tost Office, Jefferson county,

W E offer to let for a term of five x«ars, our Plantation
called Beulah, the late residence iMunes Barrow,
deceased, ou the East bank of Oconee, orffeue the city of
Milledgeville, exclusive of the Tml field and 20 t^res around
the old settlement called Johnsonville. Tins tracetarns
about 1200 acres; about 400 of which, we suppose, areopen.
Though tlie farm is at present partly overgrown with busu-,
and briars, yet the land is excellent, having uever been won
out, but merely abandoned to fallow according to the last will
of the testator, until tlie heirs should be of a g e *
The qua!ft.y of the land, and its vicinity to Milledgeville,
ffeke Beulah one of the most valuable gram and stock farms
fTfceorgiu. We offer to let it only for this purpose. The
ibfevation of cotton will not be allowed ; nor v/id tenants be
permitted to cut wood for market, except uuder a separate
contract. Convenient and fine range for a large stock of bogs
as afforded by the: river low-grounds, and other iorest, con
taining nearly eight hundred acres, while an extensive mea
dow, either for hay fflf jasturage of cattle and horses, e*n be
made in the valley of Deriseau creek with no other trouble
than a fence. The whole place is well watered and healthy.
Persons wishing to cultivate » grain farm, near a good mar
ket, are invited to examine the premises. The lease will be
long enough to give tenants all the c<i»forts of a permanent
