D R. CHARLES L. RIDLEY having rented tbe Hills
boro' Hotel, formerly occupied by John T. C. Towns,
in the town of Hillsboro’, takes this method of informing the
public, that his house is undergoing thorough repair, and will
shortly be open for the reeeplion of compear. He promises*
his Bar shall be furnished with the best of liquors; bis Ta
bles with all die comforts of the country, and hij Stables with
an attentive hostler and plenty of provender. He also has'
engaged the services of Mr. Wesley Snell, as barkeeper,
whose exclusive attention will be devoted to the Hotel; and
flatters himself from the well known merit of 51 r. fcn jl, to*
merit and receive a liberal public patronage.
Dr. Ridley also is pleased to inform the cirisens of the
place and its viciuity. that he has returned to his old stand
and resumed the practice of Medicine, in all of its various
branches. Since he left the neighborhood, he has bad great
experience and success in the practice generally, but more
particularly in the branches of Midwifery and Surgery, in‘
which he truly believes he has no superior. He hds also had
much experience in the Venerial disease, and considers it en
tirely under the control of medicine, and has never failed to
cure the worst of cases. He deems it unnecessary to say
more to those who are so well acquainted with him. Fami
lies by the year, as usual, will be undertaken upon very mod-’

A TRUNK was left at McComb’s Tavern in Milledge-
ville, on the 24th December last, forthe purpose of hav
ing it sent to Eatonton, Ga., but inadvertently it was put on
tbe stage without being w’ay-billed, and has taken a wrong di
rection. It is a common seal skin or hair trunk, about three
feet and a half long, and one and a half broad, with the hasp
very loose, and a large nail drove in the middle ol it. Any
person findiug a trunk aosweringthe above description, would
do well to open it, ae my name is on several instruments of
writing which would identify it ns my property. A liberal
