catur county, Georgia, on the first Tuesday in July next, be

Lyman Shepperd, to satisfy two fi fas issued out of the Su
perior court of Decatur county, one in favor of William
Williams, the other in lavor of J. Donalson Sc Co. vs. Lyman
Shepperd.

name of Csesar, thirteen years of age, levied on as the pro
perty of Liltlebury Mills, to satisfy sundry fi fas issued out

GENERAL REGULATIONS.
The law requires that the money appropriated to each
county shall be loaned only to the citizens of such counties
respectively, and that the endorsers, as well as the makers
of notes, shall be residents of the county. The Board will
therefore require in each case a certificate of residence, both
of the makers and endorsers ; which may be signed by any
civil officer of the county, But if the money appropriated
to the counties respectively, shall not be applied for and
loaned within thirty days from the offering days above speci
fied, then the above requirement of the law in relation to the
residence of endorses ceases; and after that time a certificate
of residence of the maker only, will be required.
All notes must be made payable at the Central Bank of
Georgia, three hundred and sixty days after date, and must
have two or more good endorsers.
Every note presented for discount must be accompanied with a
written affidavit of the maker, in which he shall state that the note
offered is for the only use and benefit of him, the maker, and not
for the use, benefit, or interest, of any other person, or persons
whatsoever; which affidavit shall be certified by a magistrate or
other officer legally authorised to administer said oath.
Certificates of the taxable property of the makers and en
dorsers of the notes offered, will be regarded as the best ev
idence of their solvency.
No note will be discounted having on it the name of any
person indebted to the State, either as principal or security,
which debt i3 due and unsettled ; or who is the maker of, or
endorser on, any note or bill heretofore discounted by the
Central Bank, and which is past due and unattended to.
No note will be received for discount after the hour of nine
o’clock, A. M. of the days above specified.
The proceeds of the discounted notes will be paid to the
check of the last endorser only.

late William Moman, of said county, bargain for purchase

March Term of the Inferior Court, sitting for
ordinary purposes, in Laurens county, Georgia.
It appearing from the above petition, that William Moman,
deceased, agreed, while in life, to make to Benjamin Mo
man, good and sufficient titles to Lot of Land, No. 47, in the
2d district of Carroll county; and having departed this life
without having done so, it is therefore ordered, that three
months publication of this application be given in one of the
gazettes of this State, notifying the parties at interest, that if
no good objections is made, an order will be granted after the
expiration of the time directing the administratrix of said
Moman to execute titles to said land.

It appearing to the Court that Riehardson Feagin and Ro
bert M. Owen, administrators of Thomas Heagin, have fully
administered said estate—It is therefore ordered, that this
rule be published for six months in some public Gazette of
this State, and that unless sufficient cause be shewn to the
contrary, that the said Richardson Feagin and Robert M.
Owen, be dismissed from said administration.

It appearing to the Court that William A. Slaughter, de
ceased, while in life, (to wit: on the 6th October, 1836) gave
his bond to Thomas Green, for titles to a Lot of Land in the
seventh district of originally Lee, now Randolph county,
containing 202$ acres, more 01 less, drawn by William Ha-
thorn of Putnam county; and the said Wm. A. Slaughter
having departed this life without making titles to said lot of
land, in compliance with hi* said bond ; and it further ap
pearing to the Court, that the amonnt of purchase money has
been paid to Peyton Holt, administrator of the estate of said
deceased—It is therefore ordered, That thi* Rule be publish
ed in term* of law, that all persons concerned mav show
cause, it any they can, whv an order absolute should not be
granted, requiring Peyton Holt and Sarah Slaughter, admin
istrator and administratrix of the estate of said deceased, to
execute titles to said lot of land, in favor of the said Thomas
Green, in compliance with said bond and the law of the State.

The Justices of the Court will superintend and inspect th

tract money will be paid ; when two thirds done, one-third
more of the contract money will be paid, and when the whole
of the work i3 completed and received by the Justices of ih e
Court, the last payment will be made.

and corn, and grain of all kinds ; and as to health, none more
so in Georgia —well watered—in fact it cannot be beat for
good water and a plenty of it. Should any person wish such
a settlement, they will of course look for themselves—we
therefore deem it unnecessary to say any thing farther about
it. We should be pleased to sell soon, so as to enable us to
make onr other arrangements.
