W ILL be sold before the Court-house door in the
town of Bainbridge, Decatur county, on the
first Tuesday in June next, within the usual hour* of
sale, the following property, to-wit:
One Steamboat called the “James Y. Smith,” levied
on as the property of William S. Beal, jr. to satisfy
sundry ft fes issued from Decatur Inferior Court in fa
vor Job R. Smart, Chatles Tinsley, and others.
Also, one hundred and fifty head of stock Cattle, le
vied on as the property of Elias Winter, to satisfy two
fi fits issued from Decatur Superior Court in favor of
Lott G. Owens. Property pointed out by plaintiff.
Also, two negro boys, one by the name of Simon,
about 6 years old, and John, about 5 years old, levied

A GREEABLY to an order of the honorable Infe
rior Court of Liberty county, will be sold on the
first Tuesday in June next, before the Court-boose door
in the town of Newton, one Lot of Land, designated
and known as lot No. 219, in the 2d district of Baker,
containing 250 acres. The land is uncleared, its
growth is of oak and hickory, it lies well, is within
three or four miles of Gillionville, (t.t which place is a
good academy and good society,) and is believed to be
unsurpassed in fertility by any land in the State. There

I NFERIOR COURT, sitting for ordinary purposes,
March Term, 1844.
It appearing to the Court, that Hardy Hinton, late
of said comity, deceased, did while in life, to wit, on
the twentieth day of September, in the year 1837,
make and execute to James Jordan, bis bond, by which
lie bound himself in the sum of one thousand dollars,
to make a good and lawful title to a part of lots Nos.
sixiv-five and sixty-six, itt the eleventh district of
Henry county, supposed to be two hundred acres,
where Briaut F’errel then resided, when the said James
Jordan should pay the said Hardy Hinton for the said
land, he being bound to nay two hundred and fifty dol
lars on the 25th day of December, 1837, and two hun
dred and fifty dollars on the 25th day of December,
1338; and it further appearing to the Court, that on
the eighth day of March, 1838, the said James Jordan
indorsed and transferred the said bond to John W.
Langford, his heirs and assigns, and that the said
Hardy Hinton departed this life intestate, without
complying with the condition of said bond: it is there
fore on motion ordered by the Court, that all persons
concerned, show cause, if any they have, during the
next September term of this Court, why John A.
Smith, Administrator on the estate of the said Hardy
Hinton, deceased, should not be directed to execute
titles to the said John W. Langford, in compliarree
with tbe said bond ; and that a copy of this order be
published in one of the public gazettes of this State at
least three months before the Said September Term
of this Court.

hension and delivery of one Wieliaji Skaggs,
and one Mr. Cole, who stole my Buggy and Horse,
one Gold Watch, and a pair of Pistols, on Tuesday
night, the 24th ultimo, in Baker county, Geo.: or
$50 for either of the men, lodged in any safe jail in
Georgia or Alabama. Said Skaggs is about 5 feet 9
or 10 inches high, weighs about J80 or 190 pounds, has
black hair and whiskers. Cole is about 5 feet 6 or 8
inches high, and weighs 160 or 170 pounds, has black
hair, with a few gray ones in his head—w hiskers rather
inclined to be sandy.

A T HOLMESVILLE, Appling county. Georgia,
on the 15th April, a negio men by the name of
March, who says he belongs to the heirs of William
West, of Houston county, of this State, and was hired
by Maj. L. T. Doval to Mr. Saltmarsh, and was work
ing on the Monroe Railroad with one Mr. Philbrick,
eight miles above Griffin, and ranaway about the mid
dle of March last. March is about five feec six inches
high, very dark complexion, lias a scar on the right
side of the upper lip, and one over bis right eye; ha*
no other marks that can be discovered. The owner or
owners are requested to come forward, prove property,
pay charges, and take him away.
