Ordinary of Jasper county, "ill he

town of Newnan, Coweta county, on
the first Tuesday in October next, between the
lawful hours of sale,

known as the “Stokes place,” and adjoining the
lands of Messrs. Kirby, Arnold, Strickland and
others, belonging to CuthLert Reese, late el Jasper
county, deceased.
Said tract of land is composed of five lots—four
of which are in the second district and one in the
third district of Coweta county—and lying upon
the waters of New River. 1 he place is situated
nine miles from Newnan, eight from Corinth, and
two and a half from Grants’ ille, a station upon the
La Grange Railroad. About 550 acres of said
land is cleared, a portion of which is now in a high
state of cultivation, the remainder in the woods,
well timbered, a portion of which is bottom land,
lying upon said river. There are on the premises
an excellent dwelling, a good gin house and pack
ing screw, together with all the necessary out
buildings. The location is healthy and well wa
tered by numerous springs and a most excellent
well. In short, the above place possesses all the
requisites to make it one of the most desirable
places in western Georgia. Any person wishing a
healthy and pleasant location, will do well to call
on A. C. Reese of Corinth, Heard county, or the
overseer, on the premises, who "ill take pleasure
in showing the plantation.
