.HMIX MKRRYMAN <fc CO., Baltimore. much, that, so far, I am better pleased than with any other I hare ever used. One of the most prominent gentlemen in Georgia, residing in Wilkes Cos., writes as follows: The re sult of the Ammoniated Dissolved Bones on my cot ton, up to this time, is extremely favorable. I have selected three kinds of the best Commercial Manures (including yours) for my small crops, and the supe riorly of the Ammoniated is very marked and de cided. (From Alfred Livingston, Newton Cos., Ga.i My impression is. from all that I can learn, that the Ammoniated Dissolved Bones is equal, if not superi or, to anything ever used in this country. (From John H. Towushend, Elkmont, Ala.) The application of the Ammoniated Dissolved Bones is, thus far, perfectly satisfactory. It makes the poor red hills look &s if they were going to beat the best river bottoms producing. It would de you good to see th© corn, sweet potatoes and water melons, where it has been applied. More anon. (From J. 11. Baker, Pike Cos., Ga.) I applied your Ammoniated Dissolved Bones at the rate ot from 75 to 100 pounds per acre, on my wheat last November. lam satisfied that it increased the crop 100 per cent. I applied about 200 pounds per acre on my present crop of cotton. It is now 100 per cent better than where none was used The cotton planted with your preparation has a decidedly more promising appearance than where was used. From a Planter in Middle Georgia, who, being in terested in another article, requests his name to be withheld. I applied the Ammoniated Dissolved Bones to my cotton only, and, without doubt, prefer it t© any fer tilizer I have ever used, not excepting the genuine Peruvian Guano. Spalding Cos., Ga.) I applied the Ammoniated Dissolved Bones on rye, barley, potatoes, corn, cotton and my vegetable garden; in fact, on everything I nave planted the present year. The results, so far, are wonderful. I have used a great many kinds of fertilizers, but I have never us ed any that has given me such entire satisfaction as “John Merry man & Co.’s Ammoniated Dissolved Bones” ; and if it holds out on my cotton crop, as it P. S.-As many articles have been offered, based upon our reputation, we caution planters to see that each barrel is branded as follows: John Merryman & Cos., Ammoniated Dis solved Bones, Baltimore. We do not pack in Bags. *- September ’7o—tf SOUTHERN CULTIVATOR—ADVERTISEMENTS. now promises,l shall use nothing else when you be obtained. From N N. Lester, Decatur Cos., Ga.: “I am 1 \ • py to inform you that the Ammoniated Dissolve Bones I purchased of you last winter have done b<. ter than 1 expected. Cotton manured with it grow.: off better, retains its color, and is freer from rns than that manured with any other fertilizer in tb county. lam satisfied that it will pay at least K' per cent, after paying back the amount expended . its purchase. There is a great deal of complaint p\ over this country about rust —some fields are no\ nearly covered with it—but where I have used your Ammoniated Dissolved Bones, I have not seen a sin gle stalk affected with rust. I urn of the opinion that it is a preventive of rust. I used it this year on the same land where I applied the Dickson Compound last season. Last year my cotton rusted badly, and its exemption from rust this season convinces me of the value of your Ammoniated Dissolved Bones. From John A. Montgomery, Clarke Cos., Ga. : “ I bought Peruvian Guano, Dissolved Bones and Land Plaster from you for several years, manipulating ac cording to Mr. Dickson’s formula, (principally on bot tom lands.) which have paid me from 3 to 500 per ct. Your Ammoniated Dissolved Bones, after a thorough trial, I oonsider fully equal to this mixture. From Jas. H. and C. L. - ontgomery, Floyd Cos., Ga.: I fully concur in the above opinion, and will use the Ammoniated entirely in the future. From G. L. ltice, Clarke Co.,Ga.: I have used the Peruvian Guano, Dissolved Bones and Land Plaster for several years. It has paid me a heavy per cent age. I tried the Ammoniated Dissolved Bones dur ing the past season, and consider it fully equal, if not superior to the mixture. From F. W. Baggarly, Coweta Cos., Ga.: Os the many planters that used the Ammoniated Dissolved Bones in this county, there has not been one com plaint. All are well pleased. B. Perkins, Coweta Cos.: Far ahead of any used —best in the market. Capt. J. E. Stallings, Coweta Co.:—Best used—l think there is none better. I>. Delk, Coweta Cos. : I never used fertilizers be fore this season. Hereafter, I will never plant with out applying your Ammoniated Dissolved Bones.
