SCHOOL CHILDREN
SHOW EFFICIENCY
IN FIRE DRILLS
■ Efficiency in fire drills in the
schools of Griffin was shown this
morning when an alarm was
sounded at the West Griffin
school and the firs department 1
* answered.
It proved to be soot in a chim
ney burning, but’the school chil
dren marched out of the building
in clock-like manner without the
, least confusion.
Fire Chief Powell said he was
much pleased with the fire drill
and that immediately after the
i ringing of the bell the children
were quietly leaving their desks.
