restaurant, lodge and on the
slopes at the Crested Butte ski
area. Callaway is majority
shareholder in the area.
Sen. Haskell last week held
subcommittee hearings into
allegations Callaway misused
his influence while Army
secretary to expand the ski
area onto Forest Service land.
The allegations prompted his
resignation as President Ford’s
campaign manager.
Russell said Wednesday he
shot about 50 rolls of film of
Miss Haskell and other models
and said he later received a
telephone call from her because
of her father’s pending investi
gation.
“She called me and said she
didn’t want any publicity out of
this,” said Russell. He said,
however, she did not ask the
pictures be destroyed.
A spokesman for the advertis
ing agency handling the ac
count for Crested Butte said the
promotional pictures would
appear next October in ski
magazines and newspapers in
the Midwest.
He said there were no plans
to identify Miss Haskell be
cause “you don’t identify the
model. She is just there to add
life.”
