Consumptions, Coughs, £50.
BUTLER'S
I ^OR the cure » f Colds, Coughs, Consump
tions, Spitting of Blood, Asthmas, and
liscascs of the breast and lungs.
There is perhaps no medical observation
batter rfabtished, none more generally con
firmed by the experience of the b j st physici
ans of nil ages and countries, and none ol
more imparlance to the human family, tha;.
the fact that many of the most difficult and in
curable consumptions originate in neglectrd
colds.. In a clin ate so variable as ourr, where
the changes of the wea lier are frequently
sudden and unexpected, it requires more care
and attention to guard against this dsngerou
enemy of life, than most people imagine 01
8re able and willing to bes ow. The bills oi
mortality exlrbit the melancholy feet that tht
proportion of dea’hg by this disease may bi
considered as about five to one. Inasmuch
then as this fr-tal disease fu-qucntly bi :a defi
ance to the skill of the most learned physici
«ns, it is a gratification to the proprietor that
he is enabled to offer to those afflicted with
it, a gocdly prospect of relief, in that I ighly
vaiuabh: remedy, the Vegetable Indian Speci
fic. The Indians are happy in their know
ledge of medical plants; governed wholly by
experience, they ure certain ns totneir effect,
and it i6 s-«id by an author of great character,
that a Hue consumption is a disease never
known among them.
This Specific is obtained by extraction from
herbs, roots, flowers, plant-, &c. when in per-
fection. In consequence of a happy combina
tion of the most valuable herbs, &c. it becomes
a balsam of a Htiperior value. It heals the in
jured parts, opens the pores, and composes
ihe disturbed nerves, after the manner (f an
anodyne; consequently the obstruction of
the chest and the lungs which constitute th.a
disease, particularly need its use. It promotes
expectoration, which is constantly called for,
and whilst it cleans;^ a r d heats, it also gives
strength to the tender lungs In this manner
it removes the hectic fever, improves diges
tion, gives strength to the nerves, repairs the
uppetite and improves the spirits. This speci
fij mav always be given in safety it is mild,
pleasant to the taste, and may safely be given
o infants, for which it is of inestimable value.
It affords relief in bowel complaints, teething,
whooping coughs, lie. and is found particu
larly useful in hypochondriacal, nervous and
hysterical diseases. Each bill ot direction
•'nntains a detailed account of this disease in
•dl its different stages, snd will bj accompa
nipd with the signature of the proprietor in
Red Ink. It is oft. red for sale by GEO. RY
