R ANAWAY from the subscriber some
time in December last, a negro man
mimed TONEY, about five feet ten inches
high, with prominent eyes and rather a com
manding countenance, and dark skin. Il«*
formerly belonged tu the estate of Washing
ton, of South Carolina, and it is supposed
ho has made his way back to Ashopou, from
whence he was brought. Twenty dollars
will be given if delivered to the subscriber,
or ten dollars if lodged in nnv jail.

Thomas Gibbons, Esq. for protection. Bob

above Augusta. Any person having a lr.*
gal claim to said negro, by applying to the
