A LINE OF PACKETS has been esta
blished betwoon New-York and Havre,
to leave both ports regularly, on the Fir«t
and Fflcenth any, of each month during the
year. The ships composing the line, are
lost sailors, well found and commanded, cop
pered and copper fastened. Their accom
modations for passengers, comprise all that
can be required, for comfurt and conveni
ence. Passengers in the cabin will be ta
ken for 140 each, for which they are furnish
ed with beds, beddding, wines and ample
slates of overy description.
Goods intended for shipment by them,
maybe sent to the agents, who will attend
to their reception and forwarding, without
charge for storage or commissions. The
cxpeises which may. in such cases be actu
ally iacurred, will when requested, he col
lected with the freight at Havre.

In this scheme, with six drawn ballots,
there will be 40 prizes with three numbers
on them, 660 prizes with two numbers on
them, and 5878 prizes with one number on
them. Those tickets having none of the
irnwn ballots on them being blnnks. To
determine the fate of 19,800 tickets, the 50
numbers will severally be placed in a wheel
on the day of drawing, and six of them , will
he drawn—and that ticket having on it as
a combination the 1st, 4d and 6th ballots
drawn from the wheel, will he entitled to
$10,000 ; that having nn it the 3d, 4th and
oth, 5,000 dollars ; those having on them
1st, 3d and 6th—4d. 4th and 5th—1st, 2d
and 3.1—4lh, 5th and Oth—2d, 3d and 5th,
each 1,000 dollars ; that having on it the
1st, 4th and Cth, 548 dollars; those haviliD

500 dollars. All others, being 8 tickets

No ticket which shall have drawn a prize
of a superior denoinina ion, can be entitled
to an inferior prize. Prizes payable forty

al to a deduction of 15 per cent.
A considerable portion of this Lottery is
put up in parcels of 17 tickets, embracing
all the combination numbers from 1 to 50,
and which must of course draw at least 18 .
dollars, loss lha deduction of 15 per cent,
with so-many chanccB for the capital prizes.

chase a note which was given by me,
ns I thought at the time, to the estate of
Sumuel Clisby, but by fraud which was
practised on mo at the time, I find now to
be in the name of one Timothy Clisby. As
I never had any dealings with, or owed
Timothy Clisby any thing, as soon as any
f ierson shews mo proper authority to col-
ect the debts of the estate of Samuel Clisby,
I will pay any sum which I may owe the
estate, in manner wliich was agreed, upon
at the time, and not otherwise.

T HF. undersigned will receive proposals
for the erection of an Engine-House,
in Liberty-Square, of the following mate
rials and dimensions, vjz.—14 feet wide, 28
feet long, 9 feet in the clear, a door at each
end 10 teet wide—the materials brick, the
roof slated.and. to expend 2j feet from the
eaves, with (rooB from which to suspend lad
ders—the floor to be uf brick laid edgcwayB,
2} inches above the Biirface of the earth—
and all the necessary locks, hinges. &c. &c.
Also, for a similar building, materials wood,
with the exception of the floor, which must
be the same as above specified.

Every prize payable in cash, sixty dayi
after the drawing, subject to a deduction
of fifteen percent.
Mode of Drawing—The numbers will be
put into one wheel as usuul—and io the
other wheel will be put the prizes above
the denomination of two dollars, and the
drawing to progress in the usual manner.
The 10,000 prims of $4, will be awarded
to the odd or even numbers ofthe Lottery,
(as the case mny be)dependant on the
drawing of the capital prize of $4(1,(100—
that is to say, if tho 20.000 dollar prize
should come out to an odd number, then
every odd number in the scheme will he en
titled to a $4 prize. If the 40,000 dollar
prize should come out to an even number,
then all the even numbers in the scheme
will be each entitled to a prize of -.’ dollars.
The odd Numbers are those ending with
1,3, 5,7 or 9.
The even Numbers are those ending with
2, 4. 6, 8 or 0.
This mode of drawing not only enables
the Commissioners to complete the whole
Lottery in one drawing, but has thn great
advantage of distributing the small /prizes
regularly to every alternate number in the
schemes, so that the holder of two tickets
or two shares of tickets, (one odd and one
even nuniberjwjll be certain of obtaining at
least one prize, and in the same ratio for
any greater quantity.
A ticket drawing a superior prize in this
scheme, is not restricted from drawing an
inferior one also.
The Tickets will be ready in the course
of the ensuing week.
