The Legislature has elected Col. James
David S. Booth in ralatloo to a silver mine,
reported that one hundred and twenty-six
grains of ore supplied by Mr. Buoth, had pro
duced thirty-eight grains of pure silver, a spe
cimen of which was submitted; that the
terms oT a disclosure by Mr. Booth of the sup
posed silver mice, were wludly inadmissible;
and they suggest that a law be passed mak
ing the digging, gathering or transporting a-
ny silver or valuable metal or ore, from any
lands belonging to the State, a penal offcoce.
