ohaots of Savannah and Augusta, have
seen with uo small degree of eatufiaction
tbe effort made lately by the subscriber*
for the transportation of passengers and
news between the two cities, in a much
shorter tiuie than has been usually taken for
that conveyance. It would be ungrateful
not to acknowledge the almost universal
support we have received since our
commencement—but have kata so much
trammelled by tbe exclusive right of Ste
phen Pearce that we have been compelled
to abandon the Georgia side of the river aim
operate in Squth Carolina. We have pro
cured the use ot the steam-bout Carolina:
and a person qualified in all respect* to man
age her—we can therefore, wtui,confidencc
guarantee the public that'her trips to and
from PurysburgwiH he regular. Iu con
jnuction with the Boat, our line of Stages
will operate three times in each Week,-land
ing passengers in the short apace of 94 hour *
in each city. Our operations are (com
mencing oo Friday next) to depart upward*
from the Citv-Hotee, Savannah, on FRI
DAYS, SUNDAYS and WEDNESDAYS

7 o’clock the next morning. Returning
