The native Fohrifngo is ofibred. The proprie

ull such objections, he has simply to stato that it is
prepared according to tlio receipt of an eminent

through a long practice, in perhaps tlio most sick
ly region of our country, viz: the Mississippi vul-

rogatory to offer uuy new articlo. But tho Native

of Quinine in controlling Fever without affecting

Quinine is inadmissible. It is uot the purpose of

there is no ono Subject iti tho whole circle of medi-

Laboring under tiiose impressions far sevoral
years, I beenmo uneasy, discontented, and un

Every tiling seemed to point my mind to one
object, viz. s tlio preparation .of,this herb it

sent to Eitropb and there found it under another
name.
Having prepared the article to my satisfaction,
I gavo it away to all who would use it. Hun
dreds, I might sffy tiiousauds, took it into their
families and used it: sumo for one. thing mui
sumo for another, hud ull from the very first-to
the very last, pronounced it of unrivaled excel
lence and power.
Tho first enso that ertmo under my observation,
was a man tlv.it had lnst-tho ubo of his arm far
some yours. The Ointment restored his arm
comnlotely in n fow days. This surprised mo as
much as it did tlio patient. After him there came
a man with sore eyes produced by gunpowder—a
very bad cuso indeed. One box only sufiiciud to
niake u perfect cure. And I would hero remark
that hitudreds have been cured of sore eves,
who never found any relief but in this Oint
ment.
There nextemno a woman who was suffering
excruciating pain from the ague in tbo laco.—
Hor p.iysicinu (thinking it tlio toothache,) hod
extracted olovon of her tooth. But the difficulty
still remained as had ns ovor. Tho Application
of tho All Hoaliug Ointment was nttunded with
immediate cessation of pain. Her face however,
began to swell, and tho surface was covered over
witli pimples of eruption liko prickly heat. In
one day till this disappeared. About the samo
time, a lady tnndo application witli it for tho
.headache of long standing, uud n lulling of the
hmr. The Ointment* cured her headache, and
restored hor hair. Since this, 1 huvo known tho
Ointment to euro casos often, twenty and forty
years standing. I hesitate not fa suy, tlmt it
almost an iiifaUiblo roiuody far this complaint.
About this time tlioro wore two cases, ono ol
Consumption, and tho other of Scrofula, which
had Imtllud tho skill of ovory physician who pros-
crdicd. It was wonderful to witness tlioolfectof
tho Ointment on these persons. No ono would
helievoitiiuloKsthey had persouullv witnessed it.
But it did tlio work proporly. There was no half
way business, for they rocovored thoir health inn

Rheumatism, Fovor, Quinzy, Sore Throat, Cu

Ulcer Sores. Scald Head, Humors of the Skin,
Inflammation, Piles, Sore Eyes, Sprains, Bruises,
and Burns, it seems to be u perfect antidote.—
People would come into tho store smiling, wish
ing to know if I was really the Seventh Son, or
whether the Ointment that I gave them was indeed
ull-heuliug in its nature. For said tiioy, not one
single application has failed to cure.
Livor Compluint, particularly, was treated witli
great and universal success.
It produced such jpotl results iu all cases that it
has boon noised abroad, and I was offered sums of
money far a receipt to make it far private use
merely. Every man spoko well of it, ns it had
donosoinnch good.
Not withstniiding-nfl, I havo been careful not to

Mr. Editor t Sir,—Mysenso ofduty to inysiif-
faring fallow mortals has induced mo to make the
following communication; ami I am in hopes tlmt,
should you see proper to givo it in whole or in
part, n place in your valuable paper, it may prove
heueficiul to sumo poor fellow sufferer. In the
winter of1834, and thednyaftorl had a hordday’s
work lifting uud moving logs, I wus taken with a
violent pain in my Imck * * * * ‘ ‘
eminence and distinction ; for thirty-six hours .
suffered ns much, to nil apponrauco, as it was
possible for human nature to endure, and at last
found relief only hy tho help of tlio catheter. I
applied then to several eminent physicians both
in Baldwin aud Jones, without receiving any ben
efit other tlmu a temporary relief, for iliy com
plaint would every two or throo days return, and
tho catheter was my only helper. In 1837 I re
moved to this county, mid brought with me my
tormenting coumlaiiitnudiny friendly catheter.—
Here, as there, I applied fa the most skillful phy
sicians, ns I thought, ami here, ns there, I receiv
ed no benefit from them. Iu September 1812,
uftor having stilfercd ut times the mast excrucia
ting pains lor eight years and nine months, and
after having spent a great deal of money (at least
§500) on doctors during the time, 1 was induced
to try Dr. M. 8. Tliqiilson, of Macon, ami though
I. entertained tlio most violent prejudice to his
inode of practice, my necessity compelled ino to
go, for I had then been confined to my house for
ten days, anil had to resort to tho uso ofthe ca
theter threo or four times daily. Iu this misera
ble plight I left home, went to Dr. Thomson,
stated my case to him, and lie gave mo medicine.
In half an hour after taking his first dose, I felt that
case, nnd hnd tlmt free nnd copious discharge of
urine which l had not felt or lmd in almost nine
years. And from tlmt time to this present day,
March 20th, 1847, I have had tie return of niy
complaint, and no more use far iny catheter. In
order to mnko the cure permanent I continued
tho use of tlio medicine ho vend mouths. Since
thcnltnko nothing for it. I eat, drink, sleep,
and work as in former days, and feel as well ami
aonnd as ever I was. Yon may well suppose thnt
it did not tnko long to banish prejudice at that
rate, mid I now say to the afflicted, that I believe
in many instances tlmt prejudice stands more iu
tlio way oftheir recovery than tho incurability of
their diseases. Such, Mr. Editor, is my expe
rience of Dr. Thomson’s treatment, and such tlio
results. Neither ho nor his remedies need any
eucomium from me : tlio skill ofthe one nnd the
efficacy oftho other aro too well known for that;
but a fellow fading far the sufferers induced mo
