Chatham, deceased, was indebted to Noble W.
Jones, late of the same county deceased, at the
time of the death of the said John E. Harlridge,
by two certain promissory notes, in the princi
pal sum of two thousand dollars, beside interest,
ami that the said sum of money, and the interest
thereon, remained due and unpaid, at the death
of the said Noble IV. Jones, and that the same,
and every part thereof now remains due and un
paid: and that to secure the payment of the
same, the said John E. Harlridge, in lfi» life-time
by a certain deed of indenture or mortgage,

mortgage unto the naid Noble W. Jones, his
heirs and assigns for ever, all that lot'or parcel
of land situate, lying ami being in said city of
Savannah, in the county of Chatham and state of
