CO. A Tobacco inspection to bo kept
therein. This'Warehouse, for convenience!
and safety from fire, if not superior, is inferior
to n'ono in this part of tho country. It is 300
feet in length and 59 feet in width, with n
plank floor—situated in tho cont.ro of tlio
Town, on the bn.uk of tho Savannah River,
and within 100 feet of the stream. The
other three sides nro bounded by streets, one
of 100 feet, one of 100 feet and one of80 feet.
Two.platforms will extend from tho Ware
house to tho river; so that Cotton will ho
put on Boats without touching tho ground,
except when the river is very low.

Having n practical knowledge of printing,
and also having been longer practically en
gaged in the business of Stereotyping than
any other'persou hi the United States, l;e
hopes to bo able from such experience, to
give satisfaction to those who may favor him

hopes to ho able to produce type cyuil to
any offered to the Printers of tho United
States.
His price* though low, will of course ho
the same us others in the same business. Nor
will ho attempt to violate truth, or insult com
mon sense, by pretending to anv “increased
facilities in the manufacture,” (tor there arc
no oilier “facilities” lit present in this city,
tlmn tlierq were 1*2 years ago, when type wore
from 40 to 50 per cent higher than at pre
sent,) nor have the “materials used in making
printing types been so greatly reduced,” as to
hear any proportion to the reduction in the
prices of type. Rut. the reduction has been
“induced” by competition, and an overbear
ing disposition in some of those founders who
have grown rich on the heretofore protits on
type.
All sizes of type, plain and ornamental, for
hook and job printing, from 14 lines Pica to
Nonparicl, constantly on hand in such quan
tity as to supply any order at short notice'.—
In the choice of Book letter, pains have boon
taken to select such faces as are generally ap
proved lor symmetry, neatness and durabili
ty.
