' Do L.t Monte rat’s Columbian Vegetable
Specific 1ms stood the test ofi experience uud
proved itself the most valuable remedy ever
discovered lor tho euro of Consumption and
Pulmonary affections of every kind.
The following certificates, just received
from highly respectable gentlemen will sliow
its value:
Ualtimnrc County, Feb. 14th 1920.
Gentlemen—I feel it my duty to acknowl
edge the great benefit I have derived from the
usuofDe La Moutcrat’s Columbian Vegeta
ble Specific. I do not like to speak of the
Medicine iu the exalted terms in which I esti
mate it, I will, therefore,ns briefly as possible,
give a history of my own situation, with tho
effects produced by this valuable medicine.—
l have been, for the lust five or six years, la
boring under n pulmonary Consumption, pro
nounced to he such by tlic attending phvsi-
cian, during whirh time I have consulted
many physicians, taken much medicine, but
ull to but. little purpose. The 12th of March,
1828, l puked blood for the first time, and con
tinued so to do for several days in succession,
and on the Uth ofthe same month was con
fined to my lietl, where I lay for two months
until I was reduced to such a state of debility,
that my friends began to despair of my recove
ry. Ilmdinndo use also of all tho popular
remedies without, benefit, ami having acciden
tally heard of this fctpccifir, 1 determined to
give it atrial, anticipating from the use of it,
no better result than had attended the use of
all tho remedies I hud taken; but iu this 1 wus
happily disappointed. At my very lowest
state 1 commenced the use of this Specific.—
I took f lip first, doso ut night in a little herb tcu,
sweetened, which throw mo in a gentle per
spiration and procured forme a good night’s
rest. I continued to take the medicine as di
rected, and in about five days my cough was
completely stopped and have not had any re
turn since, i am now perfectly satisfied of
the superior quality of this .Specific over every
other inodicino offered for tho euro of the
above disease. You are at liberty to use this
letter in any way you may think proper.—
Yours respectfully,
(Signed,) JOHN It. ELLICOTT,
Baltimore., Feb. ltR/t, 1829
I, Joseph N. Ruckle, do hereby certify, that
for upwards of six months,' I wits severely af
flicted with a pain in my breast, accompanied
with a very had cough and short ness of lirenth,
and every indicat ion (in tho opinion ol’aphis-
ioitm) oi’ approaching consumption; utter
having boon persuaded hy my imreiits, 1 was
induced to make trial of Do La Montorut’s
Colombian Vegetable Specific, and the use of
three bottles completely restored me to health.
