many physicians, taken much medicine, hut
all to hut littlo purpose. Tito 12th of March,
1828,1 puked blood for the first time, and con
tinued so to do for several duys in succession,
and on tho 14th oftho same month was con
fined to my bed, where I lay for two months
until 1 was reduced to such a stnto of debility,
that my friends began to despairof my recove
ry. I had made uso also of all thn popular
remedies without benefit, and having acciden
tally heard of this Specific, I determined to
give it a trinl, anticipating from tlte uso of it,
no hotter result than hud attended tho uso of
nil tho remedies I had taken; but in this I was
happily disappointed. At nty very lowcit
state I commenced tho uso or this Specific.—
I took tho first dose at night in a littlo herb tot,
sweetened, which threw mo in a gentle per-
s|iiration and procured for mo a good night's
rest. I continued to take tho mediciiio ns ii-

embarks in a diseased state, or finds lumsolfso, on a
long voyage, must be truly deplorable; and it may

oftho Navy and Merchants’ service, ii being a sovereign
remedy in the disease alluded to.
TO SOUTHERN PLANTERS.
The Vegetable Catholicon is peculiarly adapted to
those diseases which are prevalent among the coloured

convince planters of its superior ullicucy to any romedy
never bonuturo in tho United States. They should
ofn similar without it.
