I have been, for tho last five or six years, la
boring under a pulmonary Consumption, pro
nounced to bo such by the attending physi-
cinn, during which time I havo consulted
many physicians, taken much medicine, but
nil to but little purpose. Tho 12th of March,
1828,1 puked blood for tho first time, and con-
tmuod so to do for several days in succession,
and on tho 14th oftho same month was con
fined to my bed, whqro I lay tiir two months
until I was reduced to such a state of debility,
that lev friends began to despair of my recove
ry. I liad mndo use also of all the popular
remedies without hem-fit, and having acciden
tally hoard of this Specific, 1 determined to
give it a trial, anticipating from tho use of it,
no bettor result than had attended the usa of
all tho remedies I had taken j but in this 1 was
happily disappointed. At my very lowest
state 1 commenced the use of tliis Specific
1 took tho first dose at night in a little herb ten,
sweetened, which tlircw me in a gentlo per
spiration and procured for me n good night’s
rest. I continued to take tho medicino as di
rected, and in about llvo days my cougli was
completely stopped and have not had any re
turn since. 1 am now porfoctlv satisfied of
the superior ipmlity of this Speci'lic over overy
