I have boon, for tli.-last five or six years, la
boring under a pulmonary Consumption, pro-
nouncod to bo such by the attending physi-
cinn, during whicli tune I have consulted
many physicians, taken much modicino, but
all to but little purpose. The 12th of March,
1828,1 puked blood fur tlio first time, and con
tinued so to do for several days in succession,
nnd on the 14th oftho same month was con
fined to my bed, where I lay for two months
until 1 was reduced to such a state of debility,
tiiat my friends began to dospairof my recove

remedies without benefit, mid having acciden
tally heard of this Specific, I determined to
give it a trial, anticipating from tlie use of it,
tio better result than had attended tlio uso of
all the remedies 1 had taken; but in this I was
happily disappointed. At my very lowest
state 1 coinmoucod tlio use ofthis Specific—
I took tho first dose at night in u littlo herb ton,
sweetened, which throw mo in a gcntlo per

rest. I continued to take the modicino as di
rected, and ill hbout five days my cough was
completely stopped and have not had any re
turn since. 1 nin now perfectly satisfied of
tlio superior quality ofthis Specific over every
other modicino offered for tho cure of the
above disease. You are at liberty to use this
letter in any way you may think proper
