PROCLAMATIONS
Whereas, it has been reported by the
Health Officer, that tho Small Pox ex
ists on hoard the ship London, of Nowbtiry-
pert, arrived from I Iavre.nnd now lying at Five
Fathom, and whereas Council hns in confor
mity with the Laws oftho State, required that
the said vessel he placed under quarantine :
I do therefore, hereby forbid nil intercourso
with said ship, or any part of her crew or pas
sengers, under the penalties of the law :
And 1 do also require oftho persons on board
said vessel, that they remain there, and for
bid, under any pretexts, their quitting her un
less authorized by the proper authority.
In witness whereof, I hereunto affix my
official signature this 14th day of December,

estate of Alexander llobort Chisolm de
ceased, will' ho sold at the Court Houso in tiie
city of Darien, on the first Tuesday in Janua
ry next, between tho usual liuurs of sale, by
auction viz.
Two third's of Broughton Island, situated
three miles below Darien, in the Alntnmnha
river, containing 1020 acres tide luud, 050
of which havo boon tinder hank.
Also—Tim plantation called Windy Hill,
about four miles above Darien, on Cat-head
creek, a branch of tho Alatunmhn river, con
taining 5000 acres—000' of which uro tide
land, and 2(H) of which nro under hank, and
000 acres of swamp j 150 acres of high ground
of good quality, uildur cultivation i about 500
acres of good cotton land, and tho balance
pine land. On this tract is a Rico Mill, erec
ted in 1825, and now in completo order—Al-

machine'prop oiled by water, adjoining the

Tho terms will be ono third cash, and the
balance in twnequnl annual instalments, with
interest from the lirst day of February next,
when the possession will ho delivered; the
payments to he secured by bond and mortgage
